A unique property about as close to the Tasman area as you can get. My room was more like a cabin, with its own parking and even an outdoor bathtub and barbeque area. The room was large and comfortable, with a kitchenette and small fridge. There is also a public cooking area and laundry facility. Also nearby, your own private glowworm cave, although I didn't get a chance to check it out. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel easy to find and check-in was easy. You pretty much have to have a car here but this is true of most of the area. I had a great stay, even through I was only there a short time.

Wonderful stay. Nice chalet and lovely garden with safe space for kids to burn off some energy. Glow worm cave and friendly hosts with helpful tips for our onward journey. Would stay again - thanks!

Incredible!
We had an amazing stay thanks to the incredible owner. They have truly thought of everything to make your stay wonderful. I especially enjoyed the large tub outside with bubble bath and insect repelling candles. Each hut is private due to trees surrounding them. In addition there is a glow worm cave on their property!

Amazing!
Lovely little cabins tucked into unusual looking rocks. Very quiet, peaceful and secluded. We stayed 3 nights and everything was wonderful. LeAnn and her husband were very accessible and quickly handled any need. We loved the outside tub and covered porch. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommend when in Takaka!

First Class
From arriving to leaving everything was first class. Host was so knowledgeable and gave us great ideas where to visit. Cleanest place we have ever stayed. The bed was very comfortable and the chalet was very well equipped. Will definitely stay here again. Wouldn't even bother looking anywhere else.

Nice but a bit gloomy
Very comfortable, tidy and clean. Private and an easy walk into Takaka. Only negative was the poor lighting. Nice that the chalet was set in bush but it also meant that it was dark and gloomy in the cloudy days that we had. And the indoor lights were not sufficient. We had to use our phone torches to read by at night. Otherwise a nice place to stay.

We were just blown away with the rocks . We had no 4 which had its own private area out back . Even tho it was kind of cold we sat out there and enjoyed the wildlife and used the barbecue . Short walk to town for bars and eateries . Room we could not fault . Large with all amenities you need . We will be back for sure .

Loved everything about The Rocks! Quiet location, yet close to town of Takaka. Beautiful Chalets, with private areas in front of each chalet. Lots of room, easily sleeps four, laundry on location, glow worm cave right on the property! 12 stars out of 10!

Beautiful spacious chalet
Lovely spacious chalet in a secluded garden setting very close to town. Comfortable king bed, living area and equiped kitchenette. Huge en-suite bathroom with seperate toilet. We loved watching birds outside our room and the glow worm grotto on-site was a surprise bonus! We would recommend staying here and would stay again if we find ourselves back in Takaka.

Very reasonably priced accommodation in takaka. Town near with supermarket and good restaurants. Easy to go by car to golden bay and wharariki beach. Would definitely stay again.
