Die Unterkunft war nicht so, wie auf den Bildern präsentiert. Das Schlafzimmer war sehr klein. Der Poolbereich war nicht erhitzt. Bei der Dusche ging nur kalt oder heiß (gefühlt).

Schimmel im Badezimmer, Atmosphäre ungemütlich,
Im Schlafzimmer hörte man die ganze Nacht die direkt angrenzenden Aufzüge, so gut wie kein Tages licht. In den Räumen kaltweisse Beleuchtung sehr ungemütlich. Schimmel im Bad unerträglich Zimmer durften wir aber erst nach 2 Tagen wechseln dann jedoch upgrade mit Ausblick Gut waren Waschmaschine und Trockner

super Apartment in Sydney in guter Lage
Wir haben zu dritt ein Apartment gebucht, leider ist das Reinigungspersonal immer von 2 Personen ausgegangen, somit mussten wir fast jeden Tag nach einem weiteren Handtuch an der Rezeption fragen und das über einen Zeitraum von 2 Wochen. Leider wird vor dem Hotel in Darling Harbour sehr viel gebaut, d.h. man hat kaum noch direkten Blick auf das Wasser. Da ich dieses Hotel nun zum 3. Mal besucht habe war ich sehr enttäuscht zu sehen, dass das neue Convention Centre direkt vor dem Hotel gebaut wird - die Homepage des Oaks Goldsbrough wurde dahingehend noch nicht aktualisiert. Dennoch ist das Hotel sehr gut gelegen, um Sydney zu erkunden. Das Gym ist gut ausgestattet und in dem Pool kann man auch schwimmen (nicht nur planschen). Die Küche hat alles, was man zum Frühstück und einer kleinen Mahlzeit zubereiten benötigt. Waschmaschine und Trockner helfen auch sehr, wenn man für 4 Wochen in Australien unterwegs ist. Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Sehr überzogene Preise für dieses max.2 Stern Hote
Wir ( Pärchen) haben von 28.12.2014 bis 2.1.2015 dieses Hotel gebucht. Mit Ausnahme des Hafenblickes ( Darling Harbour), welchen wir natürlich bezahlt mussten können wir dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen. Sehr unfreundlich, WLAN nicht frei!!! entgegen der Buchung. Zimmer sehr heruntergekommen und schmutzig. Wir sind am letzten Tag unseres Aufenthaltes in Sydney, ins Hilton übersiedelt, und das zum halben Preis!!!

Hotel nice enough, but a bit of a hike down to the main action of Sydney (unless you are going for Mme Tussauds, Aquarium or Zoo, which are right on your doorstep). Endless reconstruction going on in this part of Darling Harbour till early 2016, so when you are not looking out onto the freeway, your view of the harbour is marred by the intervening construction sites.

Gute Lage, aber abgewohnt.
+ Die Apartments sind voll ausgestattet, inkl. Waschmaschine, Trockner und Geschirrspüler. Auch ein Backrohr ist vorhanden. Nur, wozu kochen, wenn am Darling Harbour das Angebot zum Sättigen überaus vielfältig und vielfach auch sehr preisgünstig ist? Das Zimmer ist groß, das Bad könnte etwas geräumiger sein. Schwimmbad und Sauna sind vorhanden. Aber: - Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. War vor 50 Jahren sicher eine sensationelle Architektur mit Eichenholztragwerk, ist aber inzwischen leider ziemlich abgewohnt. Im Zeitalter von Internet und Email ist eine halbe Stunde einmaliger Gratiszugang pro Tag eine Zumutung. Ein 24-Stundenzugang ist teuer zu bezahlen. Die Zimmer Richtung City haben teilweise schöne Aussicht, aber keinen Balkon. Die anderen schon, aber man hat Blickkontakt zur ca. 10 m entfernten gegenüberliegenden hohen Mauer. Auch am Tag ist Licht einschalten daher zweckmäßig. Eine Großbaustelle stört derzeit das Hafenambiente. Die Lage ist grundsätzlich nicht schlecht, man ist in ca. 5 Minuten am Darling Harbour, die Wifi-Regelung hat die Komfortnote aber sehr negativ beeinflusst.

Alle Zimmer unseres Apartments
Alle Zimmer unseres Apartments lagen direkt neben einer Schnellstraße. Einfachverglaste alte Fenster machten ein Schlafen unmöglich. Die Fenster sind nicht mal luftdicht verschließbar. Lagen im Bett wie auf dem Seitenstreifen der mehrspurigen Schnellstraße. Rezeptionsdame würdigte uns beim Einchecken kaum eines Blickes. War mit Computer beschäftigt. Bestelltes Taxi wurde vergessen, nicht geordert. Gepäckausgabe dauerte Minuten, bis private Gespräche der Angestellten unterbrochen werden konnten. Ausstattung des Apartments war sehr gut. Lage ist zentral direkt am Darling Harbour.

Das Hotel hat eine super Lage, direkt am Darling Harbour. Zimmer sind gross, sauber und toll ausgestattet (Waschmaschine, Trockner, gesamte Küche mit Abwaschmaschine). Leider waren die Angestellten nicht besonders freundlich am Empfang, ein Lächeln und ein Welcome oder Good bye wäre schön gewesen und kostet ja nichts. Aber trotzdem ist das Hotel sehr empfehlenswert, ich komme bestimmt wieder.

We stayed in a split-level apartment which was perfect for our needs - somewhere for the adults to sit and chat when our child was asleep. Some of the furniture and carpets are a bit dated and old but the amenties were great - the kitchen, washer and dryer and 2 bathrooms a big plus for a bigger group. The location was great, once you navigate through the multistorey opposite, you are into the main Darling Harbour area, close to the tram and there's plenty of food options around. It's really good value for money.

I liked that it was an easy walk to Darling Harbour, the city, Chinatown etc. The staff were friendly and helpful. I did find a couple of dead cockroaches in the cupboard under the sink which wasn't nice. I also had a little bit of rubbish that I needed to get rid of before I checked out, but couldn't find where the bins were located. I was then told by reception that there was a door next to the lifts that doesn't have a sign for it. How is anyone supposed to find that?

This place was awful. The rooms looked nothing like the website. Construction 6 days a week starting at 7:30am. Had no idea there was construction. The layout reminds me of a prison. Broken Lyfts so had to work around that as well. Overall a terrible place and I Don t write bad reviews. Go to the Sofitel or another better known property.

Great location, really good access to Darling Harbour with eateries and easy walk into the city centre. The room itself was average - the fridge ran constantly quite noisy, there was a hose running in the laundry tub sporadically and the towel rail was not affixed to the wall properly. Had a housekeeping issue and it took 3 follow ups before it was addressed. Quite pricey for what was an average experience.

Front desk helpful. No elevator from street level to front desk was a small problem since one of our travelers was handicapped and taking luggage up stairs was cumbersome to say the least. The shortcut to Darling Harbor was a plus.

I mean I did book the hotel But was a mistake, really out of the way, right next to motorway, quite stark. Feels like a backpackers Just not for me Staff were nice enough when I asked for a refund and moved hotels for my last 2 nights Good for families and lower budget perhaps if you want to be no where near anything
