Der Schmutz überdeckt alle positiven Dinge
Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Gutes englisches Frühstück. Zimmer für englische Verhältnisse erstaunlich groß und geräumig – Bad ebenso. Die tägliche Parkplatzsuche an der Straße ist bei einer Ankunft nach 18 Uhr absolut problemlos. Insgesamt hätte das Haus Potential genug. Aber Zimmer und Bad waren derartig schmutzig, dass wir unter anderen Umständen die Räume niemals bezogen hätten. Während des Aufenthaltes fand auch keine Reinigung statt. Weiterer Kritikpunkt: Die Zimmertüren öffnen sich direkt in den Biergarten (der erste Tisch stand geschätzte 3 m entfernt). An schönen Wochenendabenden erlebt man die die Tischgespräche und die übliche Geräuschkulisse bis weit in den Morgen. Schlecht, wenn man sehr früh wieder aufstehen muss. Im Übrigen liegt das Hotel in der Stadt Royal Wootton Bassett und die hat mit Swindon überhaupt nichts zu tun. Busverbindungen gibt es wohl aber. Bei Berücksichtigung aller dieser Umstände, ist der Preis absolut unangemessen und das Haus nicht zu empfehlen. Ein anderer Zimmergast bestätigte ungefragt diese Wahrnehmung.

Extremely dirty, not recommended
I have no idea how anyone (manager) would sell such rooms. The rooms in this hotel are so dirty I have never seen this in 20 years of travelling. It's not dirt that comes from some days of no cleaning, this must be months or years. It is plain disgusting, especially the bathrooms. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, selling for these prices would be not possible and very embarassing elsewhere. We did not eat there as judging by the rooms I can guess how the kitchen looks like.

Very satisfied with the room and it's facilities. The noise in the courtyard after 11.30 was disturbing as a lone pensioner. It seemed to go on for a long time. The remains of a take away meal this morning seemed to tell the story. Is this courtyard locked or is it available to any passer by looking for somewhere to sit to eat? At £14 the breakfast offered is vastly overpriced. I had streaky bacon, a large mushroom a d poached eggs with a huge slice of bread. One cup of coffee with no-one about to offer a second cup or to ask whether everything was satisfactory.

No heating in the room at all, this following same problem last week for my stay at these premises! Reported to staff that assured me problem had been fixed, plainly not!! this together with being charged £14 for breakfast...not good!

I had a great time staying the night in this cosy hotel/bar. One of the staff members, I recall her name being mya gave us excellent info on what to do around the area and had amazing energy making the place feel even more comfortable than it already was

Lovely room, good bathroom, friendly welcome and service, soft duvet and sheets, large bath sheets, only downsides we're a sagging mattress which was quite uncomfortable and shouting people in the courtyard at 4am for about an hour who were not guests of the hotel.

The hotel is nice can get very noidy Fridays and Saturdays but as its a bar its understanding. The staff are really nice the rooms are fine but need more chairs in there and a small fridge is ideal. Best bathrooms than 5 star hotels

The room itself was a distance from the entrance. Shower did not work and when someone in the adjoining room used water it could be heard and then took a while to go silent once more.

This hotel appears to have forgotten that customer service is important: - Expedia website says there is onsite parking - they have built on that so this is not available - web site says that restaurant is open until 8pm - I arrived at 7:30 and was told that the kitchen was closing (admittedly they did say if I ordered quick they would do dinner) - after dinner I asked for a coffee and was told machine had been cleaned so there was no coffee available - I had been given a key ring with 2 keys, so I assumed one was for the room and the other for a door into the building. I went out and when I came back I couldn't find a door I could open, eventually I found an emergency exit that was not closed so got back in there! - you have to order breakfast the night before with a time, however the food did not come until 20 minutes after the time - they start at 8:00 and it appeared that everyone was waiting for breakfast by 8:00, its a bit late for a weekday start. I must say that the breakfast was great, a nice freshly cooked breakfast, even the scrambled egg was lovely which is very rare.

Let down by untrained staff
The Angel, like many obviously suffer from a lack of trained staff. Its tge first time i have ever irdered a bottle if wine which i had to open myself. I was over charged for the meal also. The room had no remote for tge tv, no spoon to stir your tea or coffee and no wifi code information or indeed any information in the room such as check out time, muster points, room service, menu or the fact that they stop serving food at 8pm. Its a shame, as the room and the venue are very tadtefully done.

Had email about breakfast being at 0800 but was informed that it was delayed till gone 0900. Had to leave for work before that but no offer of re-fund ;-( No food after 2pm on Sundays, thankfully there is somewhere else to eat. But even bar was closed by 8pm Reluctant to give wifi code.

Excellent option for anyone looking for accommodation in or around RWB. The manager and staff are all fantastic and the breakfast each morning was really good. Location is on the main High Street, so only steps away from local shops.

The Angel - Great place to stay
I really enjoyed our overnight stay . This pub is surprisingly big wirh loafs of outdoor seating, with some undercover. Food was good , had an evening meal and breakfast . Room was spacious and comfortable . The staff were very nice too!
