Schönes Hotel
Es war ein netter Aufenthalt, das Holiday Inn Swindon liegt in guter Lage zur Anreise mit dem Auto, es gibt genug Parkplätze. 24 h Rezeption macht späte Anreise unkompliziert und das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer und Bad war sauber, Bett war etwas weich und standardgemäß gibt es nur Queensizebetten.

The dining facilities and staff were great 👍 The only small glitch was that expedia didn't inform the hotel of our booking, but the receptionist gave us courtesy drinks while we waited.

My initial view of the property was pretty dreadful, the accomodation blocks reminded me of old council retirement flats they look so awful i was going to drive out without going in. However the interior is much better but some areas and features are dated such as the doors,fire doors and stair cases through the corridors. The rooms are ok but no fridge nor complimentary water which you would expect for the room fee charged. The bathroom is modern but small. The staff are friendly and helpful. Didn’t use the spa so can’t comment on this. Overall it was ok for an overnight stay but the cost for a very mediocre curry and glass of wine was £30 which is excessive and certainly not worth it. I’m not convinced that the hotel offers good value for money bearing in mind the exterior and other issues so wouldn’t recommend or otherwise but wouldn’t be rushing back. Holiday Inn should be doing better with this place imo as it’s better inside than out but a disappointing initial impression.

Nice stay but needs new blinds/curtains
The blinds let so much light through it illuminated my room. I had to hang towels on the room to be able to get sleep. Lovely room and staff were fantastic.

Holiday Inn Swindon - OK but better options avail.
Hotel was a good price. New carpets throughout. Rooms were average but clean. Terrible pillows. Took the front desk clerk 3 attempts to try and make a room key that worked and ultimately had to have the staff reprogram the door (after I’d walked back and forth multiple times). The staff told me the price of breakfast was £6.95 but when I went to pay was charged £16.95. Decent breakfast but not worth the price.

It was great to have an entirely separate Gluten Free area at breakfast with a separate GF toaster. All food on the buffet was marked up as GF or not.

Lots of room for improvement
Parking was easy at this hotel which was great, but when I checked in I was told that there would be an additional surcharge for my dog which I hadn’t been made aware of at any point prior to my journey. The room was well decorated and comfortable but in the evening became clear the sink was leaking underneath. I opted for breakfast the next morning and it was nothing to rave about but the evening room service was lovely if not a bit overpriced.

We enjoy our stay, the pool and sauna were very good although we think the fact the saunas were separated into male and female should be stated when booking. We enjoyed a meal in the hotel one evening , it was very nice and the service was exellent although being charged £9 for a glass of wine was a bit much. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Great hotel with friendly staff, Starting to show its age in places. Cigarette burn in the bath and some of the sockets were not working. Unfortunately our room was next to a mid corridor fire door that banged every time someone went through it and it work me up. Great price and location for me so couldn't complain too much. I left before breakfast was served so couldn't comment on the food.

Great stay at Holiday Inn Swindon
We were met with a warm welcome at Reception and a straight forward booking in process. Asked to complete our car reg details on the desk tablet to avoid having to pay a charge and swiftly on our way to our room. There didn’t appear to be a lift but that wasn’t a problem for us. The room was very spacious with tea/coffee and biscuits provided. There was also a small fridge in the room which was a bonus. The bathroom was clean and tidy and the shower was big. The water was hot but the water pressure was not very good. It just meant washing shampoo out took a little longer but no big problem. The shampoo, body wash and body lotion were a nice touch and left us smelling and feeling clean and fresh. We also used the swimming pool which was a glorious 30c. Unfortunately the spa was out of action but it didn’t spoil our use of the facilities. The changing rooms were both clean and tidy with a sauna, toilet and showers provided in both the male and females. There was also a gym available but we didn’t use it on this occasion. Overall a really pleasant stay at Holiday Inn Swindon and we would recommend it if you’re looking for a place to stay just a short drive from the designer outlet mall.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times now. We return because of the location - easy access from the M4 and excellent base for the area; plenty of free parking spaces; comfortable rooms and beds; the breakfast (always a plus when it is included in the room rate) - wide choice of continental and English breakfast foods / drinks, plus waffles, pancakes, omelettes made to order; the pool - lovely warm way to start the day with an early morning swim, jacuzzi and sauna if you wish; the staff - we have come to know staff members who greet us warmly and eagerly await our return. Thank you once again for a super stay!
