Very welcoming and comfortable. Not the most modern of hotels but very relaxing all round.

This booking was delightful, I could park safely and the welcome was warm and friendly. The room was fine for a short stay being warm and comfy. The evening meal was very good, the service attentive and caring for a lone female traveller. The bed was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was definitely FULL. All in all the Bulls Head was a good find!

We stayed for a night and enjoyed it. Lovely place. While the building is really old it is well looked after and the quality of all the finishing touches just make the place nice. Great staff. Had a good breakfast cooked for us in the morning, felt more like a B&B. Great place to stay. The only downside was the bed being a bit firm for our liking and the pillows could use an upgrade. It was a small twin bed but that was fine for us as we are smaller people. All in all though a great place to stay while travelling through

Friendly staff and comfortable accomodation.
Stayed for one night whilst visiting Calke Abbey and the National memorial arboretum. Friendly welcome, quiet and comfortable room and nice evening meal. Good breakfast to set us up for our day. Would highly recommend and would stay again. Thank you to Dave and the team at the Bulls Head.

Beautiful pub and rooms are very clean and well presented. Cooked breakfast was great, but it’s a shame they offer no fruit, yogurt or pastries. Cereals are also kept in the kitchen so you don’t know what they offer. Will definitely stay again but breakfast options and presentation could be improved.

Very nice
Check in was delayed as Inn was closed when I arrived, and owners busy sorting kids from school, but when seen, the check in was quick and efficient. Room very comfortable, and food very good - only downside being they did not accept company Amex card.

2nd stay at the Bulls Head and it did not disappoint us. It has everything we needed. Becky & Doug were great hosts, food was great and plentiful. Worthy of a 3rd visit when we return to the UK.

Very friendly pub. Room had excellent facilities. Dinner menu had lots of variety and well cooked. Although restaurant was very busy service was good. Great breakfast! Would stay again!

We were staying in the area for a family engagement party. We contacted the staff st the Bulls head and they let us check in early which was very helpful. Rooms were nice an comfortable. We had a midday meal an of course the breakfast. Both very good quality and generous portions. The owners and staff were very helpful throughout the stay

Had the most relaxed stay here felt like family
The owners are the most lovey warm hearted people made us feel like we were home with family, fantastic stake asked for rare and it was plus the stillton sause was to die for wish we could off eatten more while we were there but we came for Download Fest stayed for 4 nights , and the bulls head is a little gem ,only down side they only have 4 rooms to rent so you have to be quick .x.

Friendly and helpful
Had a lovely stay here. They were very helpful and accommodating with an early check in. Our room was lovely and had a wonderful new shower. Breakfast was nice and gladly topped up any drinks or toast you wanted. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it. We went to a wedding at The National Brewery Centre and ICars were a great cab firm and charged a fixed £9 rate.

Fantastic place to stay!
This was our second stay at the Bull's Head and it once again exceeded our expectations! Our hosts (Doug and Becky) were amazing and friendly. It felt like coming home. The road ms have every amenity, they are spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was extraordinary both days, as was dinner on the first night. I will definitely return for a third visit!
