Toi is small and there are not may restaurant options but it is a great location to take the ferry with views on Fuji-san. The hotel has excellent service, the rooms are spacious and when we arrived there was a little welcome drink and sweets. Such a nice touch. Overall great value for money“

"Das Hotel und das Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Die private Hot Tub auf dem Zimmer mit Thermalwasser aus der lokalen Quelle war ganz toll! Das traditionell eingerichtete Zimmer hatte nur sehr dünne Futons und sehr harte Kissen - das muss man gewöhnt sein, wir haben schlecht geschlafen. Unser Zimmer lag zur Straße, es war recht laut. Die Klimaanlage ist am Boden installiert, d.h., es ist an den Füßen kalt und im Rest des Zimmers warm. Es gab keinerlei Haken oder Stangen, um z.B. Handtücher oder Jacken aufzuhängen. Das Essen findet zu festgelegten Zeiten statt - für uns war das sehr früh, 17.45 für das Abendessen. Es bestand aus vielen verschiedenen Speisen und war hauptsächlich lecker und frisch. Man sollte aber Fisch in allen Facetten mögen, auch zum Frühstück, sonst hat man ein Problem. Verschiedene Getränke waren inbegriffen, es gibt auch eine Getränkestation für zwischendurch. Das Hotel liegt nahe einer Bushaltestelle, von der man überall hin kommt."

"Nice views of Mount Fuji from the rooms. A particular, very dated but at the time certainly nice architecture. Makes for a very charming experience. However, some areas urgently need to be updated, e.g. showers, sinks, blow dryers, etc. Everything was very clean, all employees very friendly. Good Onsen experience. Beds not overly comfortable.
What was not OK was the food. There are no choices whatsoever. Only set meals for dinner and breakfast are included (at dinner, a very small and unattractive a la carte menue is also available). One cannot change them, there is no flexibility in the services provided. No explanations are given beforehand what to expect. Quality of food is mediocre, very repetitice from day to day. Some items were OK but overall we had a lot better food elsewhere in Japan.
Steep prices for additional drinks, even coffee for breakfast costs extra. Overall I find this place nice, but overpriced. Would only go back if food quality and service are improved and prices drop and/or updstes are made. Because everybody was so polite and helpful and the outside setting is beautiful (but touristy, you are still close to Tokyo), we keep good memories."
