Really convenient for town centre and ferry. Lovely position next to the sea/beach. Clean and comfortable.

Not an enjoyable stay!
Not an enjoyable visit. Only stayed 45 minutes before deciding to leave. Room was very dated. Needs a complete makeover from the wooden floor to the ceiling. Bathroom (shared) dated back to the 70's. No pre warning of the "big£ dogs the owner delighted in telling us about, in a menacing way. All in all, would not go back and would never recommend to anyone else. I value my friends too much!

room 7 twin room- is a sea facing and recently updated room-? fitted with solid oak wooden floors and 2 brand new single beds? we also updated the small personal sink and a brand new radiator were both fitted only-last year ?-the bathroom is modern ?-and enjoys a shower a monster 6ft 6inch bath and a toilet-we have intentionally left the layout as it was when built- but the bathroom also has been freshly tiled?and yes we have 2x pet doggies-which are always- kept completely separate from the guests-?so cannot understand why they are mentioned ?as a threat? as both are extremely tame and friendly?

A wonderful place, I highly recommend!
A fantastic place with extremely nice and helpful hosts. I have enjoyed my stay and the breakfast and will be staying there if I am in Stornoway again. I enjoyed it much more than a hotel I have been to earlier

Very peaceful, but a bit outdated now.
Stay was perfectly pleasant, clean and comfy bed. Jim as the owner was really helpful and responsive. It would be fair to say that the guest house was a bit outdated and also fair to include the fact that bathroom is not en suite. Not a problem, in fact, but might be a surprise to some.

we are sorry that you felt disappointedour listings clearly state the bathrooms to be shared where appropriatewe try to retain the 1960's character of our guest houserooms and floors are all washed or hoovered daily but we appreciate that some guests might want a more modern experience!

the single rooms -all-should be clearly marked as being shared bathroom- before you booked?whilst the en-suite is also Cleary designated as being en-suitesorry for any confusion or let down for you
