It is located at a prime area, major tourist spots are at walkable distance. Frintdesk, Housekeeping and restaurant staff is efficient and polite. Swimming pool is clean. Good is nice. „Sehr viele Treppen und lange Gänge im Hotel. Es wurde am und im Hotel renoviert (Lärm und Farbengestank). Alles super alt, funzelige Beleuchtung im Bad, das nicht optimal geputzt war, durchgesessene Stühle im Restaurant, Bar nicht geöffnet, einzig: super Aussicht und Betten okay.“

„A great find and conviently located. The gentleman on reception was great throughout my stay, very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was a good size with lots of old period furnishings. Large comfy bed and a fan heater provided. AC worked well too though being the cooler months use of fan heater was needed. Large bathroom with good hot water shower. Located within walking distance to the Palace entrance gate and plenty of resturants nearby. Would definately recomend and stay here ...

Die Athmosphäre ruhig und gediegen. Die Einrichtung ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen aber prima in Schuss. Und das beste: Das Shiv Niwas ist Teil des Palastes und daher spektakulär schön gelegen. Sehr empfehlenswert.“

„It’s a beautiful property in a wonderful setting. So tranquil and beautiful. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The boat trip around the lake was a real pleasure. Our room was large and spacious, with excellent views of the lake from two aspects. We would happily stay at this property again. Thoroughly recommended. “

Reception and concierge service are very limited. Shame there isn’t a decent bar with a view for sundowners. Lots of places nearby though. I’d stay here again for an authentic haveli“

Apart from that was the room itslef perfect, clean and had a stunning view towards the lake. The stuff was unbelievable friendly and helpful with everything and the restaurant was outstanding good.

The manager Jassu was extremely friendly and helpful, arranging airport transfers, suggesting places to visit and eat, etc. The location is excellent, being close to the City Palace, Jagdish temple and Pichola lake. The views from the rooms are fantastic, especially if you book the Maharaja suite with its own large terrace. The amenities are modern, clean and well maintained, and we would happily return here.“
