Das schönste Hotel auf unserer Island Reise. Großzügige Zimmer und Bad. Schöner Ausblick von der Terrasse aus. Für ca. 50€ gibt es Abends ein Buffet mit super leckeren Speisen. Fisch und Lamm in allen Variationen, große vegetarische Auswahl. Hausgemachte Pickles, Dips und Kuchen. Auch zum Frühstück gab es eine riesen Auswahl an Hausgemachem. (Wir schwärmen immer noch davon) Tolle familiäre Atmosphäre und super nettes Personal. Wir hatten das Glück und konnten die Nordlichter vom Strand aus beobachten.

Empfehlenswert sind die Zimmer im neuen Anbau. Es hat mindestens 12 Steckdosen im Zimmer, man fragt sich wofür? Denn es hat kein TV oder Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Frühstücksauswahl ist reichhaltig, ebenso ist das Abendessen (Buffet) zu empfehlen. Besonders die Auswahl an Fischgerichten ist lobenswert. Die Alternative an Restaurants entfällt praktisch, da kilometerweit nichts in der Umgebung ist. Es gibt den ganzen Tag Kaffee und heißes Wasser in der Gaststube. Ein guter Standort zur Beobachtung von Nordlichtern!

Wir hatten ein Zimmer im alten Trakt. Das Zimmer inklusive Bad war eine Zumutung für eine Familie - klein, keine Duschwanne sondern nur ein Duschvorhang neben dem Lavabo. Spartanische Einrichtung, keine Liebe zum Detail. Das mit Abstand schlechteste Preis/Leistungsverhältnis während unserem Islandaufenthalt, geht schon Richtung Abzocke!

Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer und konnten vom Bett aus aufs Meer sehen. War alles sauber und ordentlich, im Bad wäre eine Ablage für Kosmetikbeutel nicht schlecht gewesen. Frühstück war auch vielfältig und lecker. Das Abendessen war Hausmannkost, leider waren die gleichen Vorspeisen (2 von 5) und Desserts (1 von 2) auch am 2. Abend immer noch nicht verfügbar. Bier gab es aktuell aufgrund Lieferprobleme auch nur in Dosen.

We had a room in the new annex and it was one of the best we had in a guesthouse. Breakfast was good. Restaurant was also really good, but a bit expensive. It is hard to find food in the area outside of the hotel. Location is great, beach in walking distance, view to the Snaefellsjökull.

Sehr kleines, spärlichst eingerichtetes Einzelzimmer. Beim Frühstück wurden leere Platten (Wurst, Käse) wurden nur zögerlich wieder aufgefüllt. Das junge Personal war auffallend unfreundlich. Aber der Kaffee war spitze.

There was not so many hotels opportunities in the region, this hotel was convenient, but definitely need some updates. Not so many options in breakfast. The location of the hotel is a really good place for the northern lights, but unfortunately we didn’t have all conditions to see it.

Séjour agréable. Chambre fonctionnelle avec beaucoup de prises électriques. Il y a une salle de bain privative assez grande. Pas de TV dans la chambre. Le petit déjeuné est pas mal, il y a du poisson, de la charcuterie et des condiments à tartiner. Côté sucré, il n'y a pas beaucoup de choix : des céréales pas très sucrés, du lait, du café, du jus de fruit, des fruits, des pancakes, du pain et du chocolat et de la confiture à tartiner. Les repas sont assez chers (49€ le repas du soir et 16€ le petit déjeuner).

Great location, saw Northern Lights!!
Family ran hotel. Twin beds were comfortable. Nice variety for breakfast. We paid extra for dinner. We felt it was a little pricey but gave us an opportunity to try foods we would never order. Dinner is served buffet style. Lots of fish options, couple lamb options, nice variety for vegetarians. Beautiful scenery. We even saw Northern lights right outside our room. Highly recommend.

The room was very clean. The bathroom was tiny and had a plastic shower curtain which allowed water to wet almost the whole bathroom. The location was very good for exploring the Snaeffelsness peninsula. Breakfast and dinner were fine.

This hotel was simple but cozy. Felt more like a B&B than a hotel -- family-owned, and felt warm and homey. The hotel staff was very sweet and went out of their way to make sure we had plenty of vegan options for breakfast and dinner -- including an just-for-us AMAZING vegan dessert. We were very impressed and grateful! If you're vegan, make sure to tell them when you book, and we highly recommend eating here during your stay. Took a walk down to the hotel's beach on day 2 and saw the Northern lights on the beautiful property. While this isn't the most luxurious hotel option, the beds were comfortable and our room was clean and quiet. It was everything we needed. And bonus: there are waterfalls outside your window.

The Snæfellsnes peninsula is well worth a visit & if you take your time that means you need to stay somewhere. Hotel Langaholt is a good choice with clean rooms (ask for the new section) & an amazing view. Breakfast has plenty of choices - we didn’t eat dinner here since it is limited to a buffet.

This place was just “ok”; definitely overpriced for the place. Rooms super basic, bathroom the same. Beds comfortable. Food (breakfast) was also just “ok”. Would only stay here again if it were half the price. Staff great!

Excellent service, accommodating, moved to a room with a view and a balcony the next day on request. Breakfast had this excellent smoked trout and coffee was good as well. Dinner buffet though expensive had some good and fresh fish. The first night we were not very hungry, they offered an option of a fish soup for a lower price which was fresh as well. Overall a good stay.

I always love to start off with the best parts first. The woman at the front desk (who also helped with dinner) was nothing short of amazing. Sweet, genuine, and helpful. Second best thing, THE VIEWS!! They were 360 degrees and breathtaking! It was homey and come as you are vibe - Mismatched coffee mugs and all like Grandmas house. The dinner was decent (very expensive) and seemed like traditional Icelandic dishes of fish and lamb. The rooms were nothing special but the beds seemed clean which was important for a good nights sleep! Negatives: The hotel has clearly gone through improvements and we can only speak for our experience in one of the older rooms. The pictures are really misleading if you’re not in one of the newer rooms. We booked (and paid about ~$260 - much more than others in the area) thinking we’d have the cute balcony and view but got a old room. And only 1 of the windows vented so We came into a REALLY hot room with sun beating in and nothing opened so it took hours to cool. Also, you can hear everything - doors, voices, etc. and some people were very loud. Especially in morning with doors slamming. Lastly, there’s no common areas outside to sit and have coffee in the evening so without a balcony (which I expected based on pics) or an outdoor common area it almost seemed like you were confined to your room. All in all, no frills place that will be fine but I got a much nicer place the second night for over $100 less.

We appreciate your kind words towards our staff, cleanliness and that you enjoyed the view :) Regarding the price, breakfast is included with all our room bookings, as well as coffee and tea at all time. Sorry that you were disappointed with the standard room type you booked. Our comfort rooms have balcony or patio, as detailly described on our website. When describing a room type, we always put a photo of that exact room type so our guests can know what to expect. Sorry that you found it confusing and misleading, we would love to get an example from you of how it was misleading when booking the room. I just tried myself and get correct pictures. We do have several common areas inside the hotel, as well as outside the dining area (can be seen in our 360 photos on our website). Sorry about noise from other guests.
