Where do I start. The hotel was well furnished and the staff friendly but I felt this hotel was more for Russian speaking guests as we were lucky to make ourselves understood (ok we were in Russia). On arrival I went to pay with my credit card and was told via translation on a computer that I had to pay cash, over 26,000 rubbles or go to a cash machine. By the way as a tourist I was unable to draw that much in one go. We did have the money but had to go to a cash machine several times during the stay and incurred more expenses with my bank. The other irritations with the room amenities were no DVD player, no separate seating area as such (just before we left we saw a room with a better seating area), no ceiling fan, the rooms was not soundproofed and traffic went past at all times of the day and night, free bottled water on day one only. We tried to complain but the language barrier made it pointless. Shame on Expedia and the hotel for not making it clear that a credit/debit card could be used.
