Die Unterkunft ist etwas älter und man sieht ihr das auch an jedoch für jemanden der wenig Zeit im Zimmer verbringt dafür mehr Zeit am Strand und lieber einige Ausflüge mehr macht trotzdem sehr empfehlenswert. Pro: Das gesamte Personal (ohne Ausnahmen) ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit gewesen. Zimmer wurden täglich geputzt Der Hotelstrand ist fabelhaft, es gibt keine Kämpfe um die Plätze und man fühlt sich teilweise als ob man den Strand allein für sich hat (sehr langer Hotelstrand). Kontra: Lange Wartezeiten für freie Plätze bei fast jedem Abendessen. Beim Check-in hätten wir gerne mehr Infos gehabt (wo Handtücher, Essen, Bar's usw...) eventuell eine Hotelkarte wäre hier sinnvoll gewesen.

Das Hotel lebt von seiner direkten Strandlage
Vieles ist in Ordnung an dem Hotel wie Pool, Garten und Lage am feinsandigen und schattigen Karibikstrand. Liegen und Sonnenschirm standen kostenlos zurVerfügung. Leider wurden die Abende für uns sehr beeinträchtigt durch open air Life-Musikveranstaltungen, die auf dem Hotelgelände in unglaublicher Lautstärke von 8.30 bis 23.00 stattfanden. Danach kehrte eine gewisse Ruhe ein. Durch die all inclusive-Versorgung lärmten betrunkene Gäste spät nachts am Pool, im Garten und auf den Gängen weiter und störten die Nachtruhe. Niemand sorgte für Ruhe.

I liked how spread out the property is, the breathtaking view and options to eat at different spots on the compound. It was peaceful and very relaxing. I also felt safe. The only snag was in the bathroom where the water did not drain quickly in the tub and the toilet had to be flushed a few times occasionally.

Loved the location of the property and the all-inclusives. It afforded us a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, because a member of my party uses a cane, the constant up and down required to get from point A to point B was very taxing. Elevators need to be installed or the restaurant needs to be relocated. Staff was pleasant and accommodating.

I know it's a resort but I would have liked a clock in the room. Buffet dinner and breakfast were wonderful with a wide variety of foods, complimentary wine, including Antiguan fare. Staff was phenomenally friendly - I was only there one night but they remembered my name, helped me with calls to a tour service. I joined a friend at another resort in the south, and Starfish Halycon Cover was 50 times better - especially with such a close walk to the beach. I wish I could have heard the waves at night. . . Thank you for the best time - you epitomize Antigua!

Great location, good staff but poor condition
The staff were good and location good. The room was poor and bathroom not good. The bath had been repaired at the bottom so you could not stand without feeling that you was going to fall through the bath. The sealing around the bath was all broken and brown. The room door was cracked and hard lock. The beach and location was lovely.The hotel is old and in disrepair. It’s a shame.

The hotel is old and many of the rooms are in terrible condition. We had to ask to be moved from the horrible standard rooms we were given to a room that was in better condition. The Manager was not too keen on moving us because she said we had booked a standard room with Expedia and that is what we got! However, we did not expect run down rooms with mildew all over the shower, furniture that had seen better days, big crack in the sink, etc. In one room, the toilet did not even work! After sitting in the lobby for a while, we were shown other rooms in the main building which were acceptable, though still not the best. We were showering with fruit flies on a daily basis. Who knows where these critters came from as we had no fruit on us!! I could go on and on! We heard that others were not at all happy with their accommodations. Good thing this hotel is up for renovation in April! Reception and dining room staff, bartenders and maids who cleaned room were all wonderful! Malaki, the young man who worked at Reception as the bellhop was very pleasant and helpful.

The resort has a very nice beachfront. The beach is open and long, sand is very nice and wakes are very gentle so swimming is very nice. Beachfront bar is also nice. The Warri Pier extends 150 feet out into the sea and at the end is a formal restaurant that opens for dinner several nights a week. The food and service were excellent and the setting is amazing. Our room was a bit dated but it was fine. Room could use a refresh

Spent a couple of nights at Halcyon Cove on way back to UK . We’ve stayed here before so knew the property was rather tired but it is good value and the staff are always nice. We arrived at about 7pm and despite the reception being very busy due to a cancelled flight, we were dealt with quickly and were soon given our room key. Our room was as expected - king bed, aircon , TV , fridge etc

The property location is ideal. The property itself is in disrepair and outdated. We had no room phone, no iron or ironing board, no amenities in the little refrigerator. We had to pay for bottled water. Very little entertainment on the property and house keeping did a very poor job cleaning our room.This resort should be a one star. Expedia should do a better job of evaluating the criteria of good resorts so as to avoid vacationers the disappointment we just experienced. We look to expedia for quality standards but what we found were substandard. The pictures on the website were good but in reality were deceiving. How do we as vacationers decide where to go on holidays based on a website without standards or criteria of the property resort by Expedia? All we ask is don’t promote a resort on your website that is bad knowing people will be dissatisfied .

The hotel is Dated and needs upgrade. The staff are really helpful and always ready to assist in any way. Bartenders Heather and Dolston are out of this world. This resort is lucky to have people like them working for it. On the whole it was an excellent experience. I cant wait till the renovations are complete and go there again.

The property was clean and well kept. Not much to offer in the all inclusive package being that meals were only available a few times a day and there weren't much in terms of options. No real entertainment and really nothing to do on the resort. You need a taxi to get anywhere on the island unless you rent a car which I advise you do. We took a 15 minute drive to and from a restaurant and the taxi driver charged me $80 US! I didn't argue with him because we never used a taxi again. Lucky we had a great bartender named Errol who took us out to two places the locals party and eat. Great guy, tip him well! The resort was quiet with no one around by 10:30 p.m. In terms of beaches there were some really nice ones but for an overall experience there are better islands in the Caribbean.

Not good.
The Hotel need an update rush, rooms are outdated and the food its below average. If you want a bottle of water it has to be paid. I went for business's, so it was only for breakfast, dinner and sleep. This its a place that I will never repeat.

This property looks like it has not had any investment in its condition for 20 years. The food was average to poor, the condition of the rooms was poor, the gym was dirty and under equipped and the staff, with one or two suggestions, was complacent and of limited assistance. For $300 a night, I would hope you can do better in Antigua. If not, I would look for another island.

Liked nothing. No update on anything and everything was broken inside the room including showed, wiring, sewage smell inside the room. The only thing was the food which was of average quality and looked like they wanted to maintain that. Can not stay there another time.

Way Overpriced
The front desk staff was actually rude when they discovered we were only there for one night. Other staff not particularly friendly. The room was shabby--mold on bath ceiling, nails in the walls with no pictures, no hot water in the morning, shower rod fell down, broken beach chairs etc.

Awful experience! It was my first and last time at this resort. The facility is so dirty, my room was filled with bed bugs. I have bites all over my body, spoke to the manager Kevin and no one seemed to care. I had to toss all of my clothes in the trash before heading back home due to the bugs everywhere. I honestly don’t recommend this resort to anymore.

This property is old and tired. cabinetry in kitchen and bath peeling, bathroom door cracked and peeling. fridge doesn't fit in space in cabinet so left sticking out crooked. shower diverter knob and toilet tissue dispenser missing. sliding door broken. Plenty of food in restaurant; all average. Liquor, all cheapest available The all inclusive is only saving grace. Worked ok for my business trip. would never vacation there.

First impressions mean a lot and this is what Starfish Halcyon Cove Resort failed on. Although the staff was very friendly and willing to accommodate, the help operates on "island time". We arrived at the resort just before 2pm, so we had an hour before the official 3pm check in time. We were allowed to sit in the lobby while we waited until for 3pm and for our rooms to be prepared. It was a really long hour because we hadn't eaten since our 5:30 am light snack in the airport lounge. While sitting in the lobby, we could see other guests eating at the restaurant and wondered why we could have access to lunch while we were waiting. At 3pm we were finally given our all inclusive wristbands. Our rooms were still not ready, so they told us we could go to the snack bar next to the pool and have hot dogs and hamburgers. Much to our disappointment, there was nobody cooking at the grill. About 15 minutes later, someone finally showed up and started cooking burgers. Still starving, we watched in horror as the cook actually threw away the burgers in the trash can saying that they were not fully cooked. Made a trip back to the lobby to inquire about our rooms and they were still not ready. About 45 minutes later we were finally eating. Ran out of space for my full review, so here is the rest in short: - We got the same room type as my friends, but we paid for an upgrade. - WiFi signal did not reach our rooms - TV signal was terrible + Food was very good + Beach is beautiful
