Im grossen und ganzen akzeptierbar.
Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und das Service Personal sehr freundlich. Die Zimmer Ausstattung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber mit ein paar Handgriffen könnte vieles behoben werden, zum Beispiel, Vorhänge die nicht richtig aufgehängt wurden, Teppich der sich vom Boden gelöst hat etc. alles Kleinigkeiten, alles ein bisschen lieblos.

Zentral gelegen, aber deutlich verwohnt
Wer dieses Hotel bucht, sollte definitiv mind. Superior oder darüber buchen! Gebucht war das Hotel für 7 Tage. Der von Expedia gebuchte Tarif beinhaltete das Standardzimmer, was in einigen Bewertungen auch schon mal zur viel befahrenen Straße lag. Unseres hingegen lag zum Parkplatz und Hotelinnenhof hin. Eigentlich nicht schlecht. Aber: neben unserem Zimmer (203) verlief zum Einen das Lüftungsrohr des Hoteltraktes, zum Anderen (rechts vom Zimmer) das Abluftrohr der Küche, was nicht nur lärmt, sondern auch einen unangenehmen Geruch von Fett, Speck und Fisch im Zimmer hinterlässt - morgens und nachmittags für mehrere Stunden! Das Bad und die Dusche im Speziellen ist einfach nur ein Witz - das Wasser kommt in solch minimaler Kraft durch den uralten Brausekopf, dass Shampoo aus langen Haaren nur schwer zu entfernen ist. Eine Minibar zum Kühlen eigener Getränke fehlt, der Ventilator (die lt. Buchung versprochene Klimaanlage) war seit Wochen nicht abgestaubt worden. Nach einer Nacht durften wir dann - gegen Zahlung, versteht sich - in ein "Superior Zimmer" umziehen, mit Fenster zum Pool. Dieses Zimmer war größer, das Duschen an sich trotzdem weiterhin eine Qual aufgrund permanent schwankender Temperaturen. Das Superior Zimmer war deutlich angenehmer, ist aber - wie jeder andere Raum auch - aufgrund des Alters des Hotels leider zu hellhörig. Das externe Restaurant ist direkt neben dem Innenpool - hier mag man einfach nicht essen, außer man steht auf Pizza Voll-Chlore.

Wir waren ganz zufrieden....
Gute drei Sterne. Typisch britisch verwohnt aber sauber. Nettes Personal. Wo sonst gibt es schon Indoor und Outdoor Pool. Ganz nah an der Fussgängerzone. Zum Hotel gehört ein italienisches Restaurant und eine Sportsbar. Also alles zum anfassen nahe... Die Zimmer sind etwas eng - eben "praktisch" , kein Safe , im Standard Room fehlt schon mal der beliebte "Bistro -Tisch" aus Platzgründen. Aber keine echten Abwertungsgründe. Ein Kühlschrank / Minibar wurde wirklich vermisst ! Preise im Mai 2012 sehr zivil.

The pool has literal lumps of black dirt on the tiles, it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. The jacuzzi is the same temperature as the pool and also dirty. No shower facilities after the “swim” Run down hotel, breakfast staff were just there, never said good morning, no interaction from any staff actually. Won’t be staying there again.

We do have a very strict schedule for cleaning the pools, the showers and changing rooms are next to the gym behind the pool and we are taking great pride in our staff as they are very friendly and professional, as you can see from almost every single review we have. I will investigate to see what happened during your stay and I can assure you that we will use your review as a learning tool.

A decent hotel
The hotel is situated near shops and cafes and a 15 minute walk to the beach. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. I didn't have breakfast there as there was no plant based milk available even though I messaged in advance. I was surprised to be asked to buy my own oat milk! The hotel's decor is very dated but I understand it's going to close soon so no point in wasting money updating the property.

The rooms were cleaned daily and were spacious enough for 2 people. The buffet breakfast was great with ample choice for everyone. We had dinner in the restaurant several times the food was delicious in particular the Seabass. The staff were very helpful and friendly especially Joe and Micha who were attentive throughout our stay. Lovely hotel hope to visit again.

Not worth the money go elsewhere!
Got to room bathroom light not working, did get fixed after I reported it, The visible bedding was clean and in good condition. The pillows and duvet we awful, old and lumpy and the mattress was not comfortable. Dirty grouting in the bathroom and the shower leaked all over the floor. I wanted somewhere to sleep, adjoining the lift shaft didn’t enable that. Stayed Premier Inn last night excellent, chalk and cheese, and a lower price including all you can eat breakfast! Will not stay at the Apollo again when I visit relatives.

Great Hotel and friendly staff.
We had driven through France overnight to catch an early ferry to jersey. We arrived at the hotel at 09:30 to be greeted by very friendly staff. We were both very tired and asked if it was possible to have our room early so as we could have some sleep. The front desk were happy to oblige and we had a great sleep in a very large comfy bed. Great hotel, great friendly staff. Thank you :-) Would highly recommend. Jim n Val Henderson from France.

7 night stay at the Apollo Hotel. Poor start that improved after day 1. Room was smelly, dusty broken fan, broken wardrobe sliding door, broken toilet seat!! Smell turned out to be the 'Shower Curtain Rail'. All these issues were fixed by the next morning. We used the indoor poole and jacquzi 2 or 3 times day, and we had it to ourselves most of the time. I believe the hotel is closing somtimes soon though.
