Spend a wonderful morning exploring Bolingbroke Castle (5 miles), before you head into Horncastle (10 miles) to browse the antique shops. Head off to the Natureland Seal Sanctuary in Skegness (11 miles) to meet its cheeky residents, or to the North Sea Observatory (12.5 miles) to learn about the sea. Further afield, make your way to Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve (14.5 miles) to admire the unspoilt coastal views stretching from Skegness to The Wash, or to Woodhall Spa (16.5 miles) to visit the village’s unique Kinema in the Woods, which has been screening films since 1922.

Step inside your quaint cottage and follow the hallway to the open-plan kitchen/dining/sitting room – the hub of this sociable home. Take a seat in one of the William Morris chairs by the wood burner and unwind a little before you get busy in the kitchen area cooking up a storm for your loved ones. Share a casual meal at the table, or head out into the courtyard garden to dine alfresco on the patio. Afterwards, head back down the hallway to the cosy lounge to catch up on your favourite TV shows as you relax by the glowing wood burner. When the day is done, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms upstairs – a double with church views and an en-suite shower room, and a handy single. A smart family bathroom with a glamorous roll top bath on the ground floor completes the layout.

Patio doors from the kitchen lead out into a pretty courtyard garden. There’s a patio with garden furniture for al fresco evenings, as well as a secure gated area for dogs. Private parking is available for one car.
