„I loved the room itself. Very comfortable, clean ,and well kept. The staff were extremely helpful and nice. Great access to historic Nauvoo. The only downside is that the rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors right above a barbecue restaurant. Which was in the description. But, they are carpeted and not to code. The building was built in the 1800's. I am a large person with bad joints. I knew that there were stairs, but I was on the 3rd floor. The stairs were a challenge and a trip ...

„We were passing through on a motorcycle trip. The hotel was just as described. Nothing too fancy and no interaction with anyone while checking in or out. There was a cool looking bar area but it was closed for a private party. Not many dinner choices around the area however we took a beautiful stroll along the water to the marina where we had a drink and dinner. “

While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.“
