„The outside area of Vila Monte is basically a lush and beautiful garden. There are two outside pools advertised as heated and useable all year long. However the pool is around 18 degrees so I would not consider them heated at all. The rooms were okay but the cleaning was not thorough - there were spider nets and dried out mosquitos from last season. Further the A/C emitted a nasty smell even after we had changed the room upon request. The premises used to be great for sure but they are worn down ...
„Portugal is stunning. The food at the hotel is excellent, especially the desserts. The pool was closed during my stay, only the spa was available. The welcome drink isn’t suitable for non-alcohol drinkers. Unfortunately, a housekeeper stole a necklace from my room. The music at the reception is repetitive and could use more variety. The interiors are gorgeous.
