Before we arrive in Skopelos we contacted the hotel asking if somebody could collect us from the port. They sounded very kind on the phone and keen to assist us. However, they arrived late on motorbikes and told us that the room we booked was not available. They took us on a different hotel that was disgusting and left us there. We contacted expedia to ask for support and after making contact with the hotel, they told us that there was a three-beds studio available ad they would provide this to us. When I contacted the hotel stuff to arrange the move to the other room they started shouting at me on the phone asking why I contacted expedia to complaint.
During our 4-days stay we changed two studios - both very unkempt. The towels and the sheets visibly old. The shower curtain in the first room with mould - the second room did not even have a shower curtain. There was not even hand soap in the rooms. Even when it was clear that somebody had been in the room to clean, there was no visible sign or smell of cleanliness. In the photos attached it shows that they used an old rug to prevent the light coming through the door.
Mrs Evi and her family were nice on the first day but since we contacted expedia they were avoiding us, not greeting us and their manners were rude - very unprofessional customer service.
Wi-fi was free but most of the time was not working. Once another customer told the stuff that there was no hot water and stuff tried to convince them otherwise.
Gut: Nice balcony.
Nicht so gut: Costumer service needs to be improved
Better maintenance of rooms and garden.
Room cleanliness to be improved - new towels, duvets and sheets
Lage: The rooms are 10-15 min walking distance from the port - not very close considering the average distances in Skopelos.
