Stay at the Clifton.
I have stayed in a few hotels in the IOW but this was the best to date. The staff were really friendly and helped to make it a really relaxed environment. Rooms comfortable and clean with good on suite facilities. Really enjoyed the Clifton. Great location on the sea front.

A wonderful and peaceful place.
We booked the hotel for six nights but as it was so good we extended our stay to eight nights. Our room had a wonderful view over the sea but was also very quiet. It has a lovely peaceful atmosphere.

Very Good
Décor might be a bit dated for some but see through that and its a good location, the staff were very friendly and efficient and liked the little touches such as the packed lunch ready for me in the morning as was leaving before breakfast started. Over all a good hotel and would stay again.

Attractive, comfortable, peaceful small hotel with lively sea views. Lots of choice ag breajfast and in the congenial bar. Nothing too muvh trouble for the staff. Lovely garden and good access to local shpps and attractions and easy trave to other parts if the island.

Check-in was prompt and went that little bit extra to actually take me up to my room, rather than just point which way to go. As I had to be on site early, I was going to miss breakfast, not a problem though as there was a well packed breakfast bag ready for me first thing. Lovely hotel, nice staff, will stay again.

What a view
From the moment we checked in, we we’re looked after by the Clifton, in fact before! We where allowed to park there to get rid of the car so we could start our break an hour or so early. The staff are lovely, the Manager Den has a lovely quirky sense of humor that made me chuckle. The Room was up a lot of stairs, but the payback, an awesome view. Lovely clean room, could have stayed days. Thank you Clifton. We will return.

Night in Shanklin
A genuinely lovely stay in Shanklin, the owners really look after the guests helping us settle in, take afternoon tea in the cosy lounge and organising a taxi for us. Room was clean with nice extras put out in the bathroom. Breakfast excellent. The hotel garden has won 2 awards and rightly so. Overall, great - we will be back.

Good mini-break
We stayed in this hotel for a short time during a bank holiday weekend. The hotel is very good quality for B&B and is very well located with many restaurants, the Shanklin Chine, the old town and the beach nearby. The hotel has a restaurant for breakfast (offering buffet and English breakfast) and a cafe with a lovely garden to enjoy the sunshine and sea views when weather allows.

Gorgeous surroundings, very comfortable and clean, friendly, excellent quality breakfast ,quiet location great for couples, lovely garden, clifftop location within easy walking distance of the cliff lift to the seaside if you don't want to walk ( or walk back up-hill) and very good service.Will definitely return.Light meals in the evening only.

Close proximity to the sea.The cosy room we originally booked was too Small & very dated.we upgraded to a sea view room which was spacious but the carpet was tired & very dated. the view was stunning from the bedroom .There were limited tables with a sea view at breakfast or they were laid up for 3 or 4 people & you couldn’t sit there.. I asked about sitting outside but was told no way much too cold for breakfast. lovely shower, all very clean all over the hotel.

The morning you asked to sit outside was rather cold so the waitress had not set up the tables outside. Hotel with a view of the sea
Overall a very pleasant place to stay, the dining area was inviting and it included a conservatory. It is on the cliff top so there were opportunities for an evening stroll it was a few minutes away from the Shanklin Chine. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and the breakfasts were very good too. My only grouse was that I had a single room (with a double bed in it) but the bathroom was rather cramped which would not suit a tall person at all!

Sunny break in Shanklin
My partner and I popped over for a one night stay. The hotel was great: very comfortable; excellent location views; fantastic breakfast; and extremely friendly staff. It has a brilliant garden on the front and well-stocked Snug Bar. Would very much recommend.

Nice, clean and comfortable with beautiful views.
It´s a really lovely, clean and comfortable hotel with nice staff and owners. The rooms and bathrooms were great and so was the breakfast. We also had a nice drink in the snug bar and breakfast was served with a smile and with beautiful views over the sea and the garden. This will be our favorite stay for our next visit.
