From the historic harbour, boat trips head out to the Farne Islands where you can spot the resident grey seals and seasonal puffins. Just to the south, Beadnell (2 miles) is a characterful coastal village overlooking the stunning horseshoe-shaped Beadnell Bay, a popular spot for sailing and water sports including kitesurfing, kayaking and wakeboarding. Heading along the coast, landmarks include Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle and Holy Island, all within 20 miles. Inland, you can visit Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Garden, both within 16 miles.


Entering this bright and cosy holiday home, the inviting entrance lobby has space for leaving walking boots and coats, and a convenient WC off the hallway. The hall leads through to a colourful lounge with a high ceiling, a Smart TV, ample seating and a traditional wood burner. The sociable country-style kitchen/diner has a central farmhouse table, a Smart TV, and fun, cinema-style seating. The kitchen is fully equipped, and you'll find everything you need for preparing meals and drinks throughout your stay. Going upstairs, you’ll find three delightfully decorated bedrooms, each with plenty of storage space: a welcoming king-size room and a cosy double are at the front, with a spacious twin room to the rear. The twin room has zip-and-link beds which can be made up as a super-king-size on request prior to arrival. The accommodation is rounded off by a stylish family bathroom.


The kitchen door leads out to the charming fully enclosed garden with a lawned area and a gravel patio with ample outdoor furniture. A gate leads to the village’s main car park and a shortcut to the village centre. Private parking is available for two cars, with additional parking along the street.
