„We really liked our stay in the little cottage which is perfect for two adults and a dog. Ben, the manager, helps with everything. The reason why we decided to go for four instead of five stars: the kitchen was a bit greasy, we had to buy/ask for wood for the fire place and the wifi is off after every storm. „The week we spent at Voortrekkers Lodge, Levenwick, was an absolutely marvellous experience. The spectacular view from the lodge, the hospitality and friendliness of the hosts and the cosy, clean accomodation all contributed to a wonderful holiday away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We adored the goats and the almost-goat-sheep at our front door! Thank you, Niki and Piet, we are surely planning to come back some day. Maybe I will even try the smoked, freshly caught fish then...“

„While the facilities provided in the apartment were as stated, the dark location at the rear of the building was disappointing with virtually no outlook. The constant humming from the electronics was particularly annoying to hearing aids. We never used the cooking facilities, so cannot comment. For a 1 week stay this is not a great facility and in our opinion is overpriced.“

„This top story flat was absolutely perfect. Extremely well outfitted, especially the kitchen. Induction hob, large fridge/freezer, everything you needed as far as cutlery, utensils, pots/pans, dishes etc. The washing machine had a dryer function! Very clean overall, delightful bedding, great location, quiet. Hosts were easy to contact and very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended!“

„Das Objekt war schön, gut ausgestattet und wunderbar gelegen. Allerdings hatten wir ein massives Ameisen-Problem. Meine Nachricht an die angegebene Tel.Nr. wurde nicht beantwortet, leider. Da wir nur 3 Tage dort waren, hat es uns nicht gestört. Davon abgesehen, hat das Objekt etwas muffig gerochen, was ggf. dem Alter geschuldet war aber der alte Teppich hat es nicht verbessert. Etwas unangenehm, gerade wenn wieder zuhause angekommen, alle Klamotten nach altem Haus muffen.“

„The property is superbly located on a loch and has a great view. Ideal for trips to Quiraing and Old Man of Storr. Kilt Rock is within walking distance but was closed during our stay due to building work. The house was well equipped and had everything you could wish for. If I come back to Skye some day, I would definitely stay here again.“
