We are surprised and disappointed to receive this online review. We have no record of receiving any adverse comments from this anonymous guest during their stay. Our confirmation from Expedia clearly requested a double bedroom, and not a twin bedroom. The bedroom was converted within 30 minutes of the guest request upon arrival. We provide high quality, complimentary toiletries in environmentally friendly bottles, for all our guest bedrooms and suites. Fresh garden lilies are provided as complimentary in every bedroom. The hotel is situated in a wooded valley and we are surrounded by farm land. Very occasionally there can be some vague farmyard odours. Our very popular swimming pool measures 12m x 6m and is utterly appropriate for a hotel with 23 guest bedrooms and suites. Our long standing reputation for customer care and service are certainly not based on the disregard and accusations made by this unfortunately anonymous guest.

We are most grateful for this generous review following the recent stay at Stocks. We are particularly proud of the oasis of luxury that we have created at the heart of Sark. Our small, core team of staff have been with us for over four years and they, like us, are passionate about the level of dedicated customer care and service that we provide. Our Sark dark skies are legendary and visitors can enjoy the unique experience of total darkness from the comfort and luxury of our hotel gardens. We look forwards to welcoming Graeme and his wife back to Stocks Hotel and to Sark for some total relaxation in the near future.

As you are probably aware we have two restaurants at the hotel. Our popular Bistro / Brasserie is our informal, poolside, casual dining style restaurant. Guests who prefer a more formal dining experience chose to dine in the oak-panelled, main, fine dining room where we offer a very stylish traditional, 4-star dining experience.
