Staying at the Winery Villa was a perfect immersive experience. It is located within the neighborhood of Finekia with its labyrinth, winding cobblestone sidewalks. Instagram worthy photo opportunities abound -especially if one has never been to Santorini. The quaint courtyard has a very small pool and 2 hammocks under a grapevine arbor. The precinct of Oia where the iconic cliff-side buildings and blue domed churches are located, is a short taxi ride away. We would definitely stay here again when we return to visit Santorini. We were fortunate as the owners Eleni and her husband, Costa were in town and gave us insights on making the most of our time. Eleni was most prompt and helpful with emails and went out of her way to arrange car rental and the sunset cruise of the caldera for us ( a definite must when visiting Santorini). We can’t express enough the kindness Eleni showed us while we were guests at her Villa. She had the fridge stocked with water, juice and milk. The villa is spacious and clean. We really had the real feel of what island living is like staying there. Definitely highly recommend staying here. Be aware that AC is not the norm in these neighborhoods homes but the Villa was open, airy and comfortable. Also, the widewalks here can be challenging for anyone with mobility restrictions. The area is just beautiful. Thank you Eleni and Costa!!!
