This is my 5th stay at Hamaca, my last one was over 9 years ago. I went exclusively to accompany my father for his birthday, because absolutely he loves the hot jacuzzi in the garden pool. But expecting that to be working is too much to ask. I could not believe how neglected this place was. They are shutting down the garden side during the week, but if the pool remains open, they should also get the jacuzzi running. The food choices and service were good. Entertainment was good, but it had declined sharply since my last visit. Check in was slow, but any issues after that were rapidly resolved by the front desk. I have been to over a dozen resorts, including Hamaca, but I never had a staff asking for money 💵. I spent the only night fully awake because of a horrible smell in the mattress by the glass door in room 017. I swear something died on that mattress. I am not planning on returning to resort.
