Nice hotel, gym needs attention
Nice hotel, good rooms, the only annoyance was the gym, where two of the four machines didnt work. Good food and service. If you do go there pack mosquito repellent and they are rampant.

Really Sad and Disappointed
I’m not little bit very disappointed with Hyatt HAMPI. The state of the property is abysmal! The elevator carpet has not been cleaned in century it seems! The corner of the rooms - so dirty that I wanted to scrub them clean. The chairs at breakfast broken. I think it’s the staff that’s keeping this place alive with their efforts. The room allowed to us at 1.00 am in the night when we arrived was wrong. I was tired and upset! I paid for a larger room which the staff did rearrange but not before we were extremely exhausted having waited at lobby for 20 mins at 1.00 am. The room was supposed to be moist in view - you have to see what I looked out of the window - one side - the building and other side their terrace with AC ducts! Abysmal!

Decent stay but didn't live up to Hyatt standards. For e.g. the rooms did not have a dental kit or moisturizer, but they provided upon request. Though there's an appetizing breakfast spread, the taste isn't upto the mark. Located in the JSW township, Hyatt is around 45 km from Hampi, but the township in itself is beautiful.

Excellent Hotel, comfortable stay, nice breakfast. Clean room. Average Swimming pool. Very nice garden. Don’t forget to see Kaladham, Panchvati Temple and OP Jindal museum with lake fountain. All at walking distance in JSW township. Hampi is around an hour journey from here.

Amazing Experience and Service
The service was excellent and the property was amazing. Special mention to the chef Abdul wahab who took extra care to ensure that our stay was as pleasant as possible. The vidyanagar township where the hotel is located is awesome and a good place to unwind. Although the hotel is around an hour drive from the Hampi ruins, there are enough an more activities in the township that one can experience apart from visiting the Hampi ruins. Overall, an amazing experience

Overall, disappointing
It's probably one of the nicest hotels within a relatively reasonable distance to Hampi, although don't kid yourself, you are at least one hour away from the first sights. We ended up with bittersweet feeling about this hotel, being the best how comfortable the room was, and its convenient location to the (useless) airport, and the worst the constant feeling of being taken advantage of. Economically, that is. Every single thing we did, they tried to take financial advantage of it. As an example, a taxi that the driver told us would cost 600 rupees from the airport, which because of a misunderstanding ended up being paid by the hotel was then charged to us at 750 rupees (and we though it was complimentary because we had called in advance to ask if they had airport transfers, and they said they did) Another car service that they quoted at 12,000 rupees we were able to book online for less than 7,000. The restaurant includes in the bill a 5% service charge, which we have not seen anywhere else in India. Like I said, the room was comfortable, but the building materials were poorly chosen and always give the impression of not being clean and well cared for. In addition, the common areas are not clean at all (this is not just an impression) The pool itself is nice, but the pool area is a bit neglected for a "five star" hotel. Breakfast was OK on weekdays, and total chaos when the weekend came, among the worst I've seen. The restaurant food was very underwhelming. Staff mostly OK

Excellent, if not outstanding hotel
The place was quite good, even if the picture shown in the hotel display is a bit misleading. The people were very friendly, the food good without being outstanding, and the place was well kept. Its in a very nice enclave called Vidyanagar which has excellent footpath everywhere, green and very clean. There's a small artificial lake nearby with a walk around it. Its an hour to Hampi from here however, even though the distance itself is small, 20 kms or so.

Great hotel. Despite location very near the airport and manufacturing plant, they managed to give us a room with a garden view. The immediate surroundings are quite pretty, with a lot of flowers and trees. Amazing pool. Good food at the restaurant. Nearby a museum with again a lovely garden and a quaint town. Near OPJ park, which is quite nice. Convenient to reach Hampi by taxi (booked by the hotel itself at a reasonable price).

Terrible place. Unprofessional. Very close to an iron industry. Bad smell. We had the room booked and paid in advanced, when we arrived the manager, Madhavi Menon, told us that she gave our room (!!) to a sick person. It was obviously a lie, and then she said that we had to move to another random, and very bad, hotel in town. After flighting for our reservation we managed to enter to our room one hour later (6pm). Things from other customers remained still in room when we entered. The day after we paid a driver from Hyatt to visit Hampi ruins for a day, after an hour he decided to stop because Hyatt management didn't inform about our deal. On top the "hotel" is too close to an iron factory. Hard to believe this "place" belongs to Hyatt... Constant lies and lies from Ms. Menon, impossible to trust.

It is very apparent that there were short comings during your short stay and many opportunities for us to have created better memories. Please may I assure you that I have personally addressed each one of your feedback with the concerned department with due seriousness to ensure that our service standards only continue to improve. May I please, request you to treat this experience in isolation and non-representative of The Hyatt experience and give us another opportunity to re-affirm your perception of Hyatt Place Hampi.

Great value for money
The Hyatt Place Hampi is great value for money. Only complaint I have is the far from fresh fish that was served on the buffet table. The region is also beautiful and would make for wonderful drives if not for the condition of the roads. The Hyatt premises are quite nice and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone traveling to the area.

The place is superb and the staff are fantastic. We enjoyed our stay very much. Place is very clean and located in a nice village. We appreciated the Jindal Steel Works for creating such a Township in one of the most historical Hampi area.
