Your day begins gently. The trade winds drift through open windows, carrying the faint scent of salt air and tropical flowers as morning light floods the room. You pad barefoot to the kitchen, brew a fresh cup of coffee, and carry it outside to the pool terrace — where a chorus of hummingbirds and Puerto Rican parrots are already mid-performance in the waving palm trees above you.
After a leisurely breakfast at the outdoor dining table, you grab your cooler — already packed with ice from the house ice maker — the beach chairs - and take the 50-step stroll to the ocean. Isla Verde, Ocean Park, and Balneario El Alambique are all within walking distance, so you take your pick. Waves, sunshine, and warm Caribbean water fill your morning.
Back at the casita by early afternoon, you rinse off at the outdoor shower, then slip into the mosaic turtle, grab a floater for a pool dip, slow float beneath the palm canopy. The bougainvillea blazes pink above you. The trade winds keep everything cool. Time dissolves.

Welcome to my little piece of paradise.
I created Beach & Pool Zen Casita with one intention — to offer guests a space that feels as nourishing & homey as a vacation should feel. Every detail, from the Donghia Thai wicker furniture to the hand-painted mosaic turtle at the bottom of the pool, was chosen with care and intention.
I am proud to call Punta Las Marías home, and I love sharing this magical corner of Puerto Rico with travelers from around the world that’s why I’ve lived here for 30 plus years it’s the most secure beach community in San Juan with the bohemian Loiza Street and McLeary Ave just a short walk away.
Whether you are here for a weekend escape or an extended island stay, I want your time at the casita to feel effortless, beautiful, and deeply restorative.
