The place was absolutely gorgeous upon the drive in, but I knew that we would encounter service issues as soon as we pulled up. Unclear where the valet was, we pulled up our car and waited. 10 staff did not acknowledge us. It was very awkward. We got out of the car and asked for valet, and they kindly agreed and took our keys and parked the car. It was very bizarre. We found that this was the norm for the entire stay. Everyone was very pleasant, but no one was proactive in any of the services rendered. Had to always ask to have a refill, ask for menus, ask how to get the coffee at the buffet, ask how to get ice waters, ask for a food menu at the pool bar, and then they never came back to ask what we wanted to order...... Absolutely zero follow through. The buffet power went out at one point, and there was zero explanation and was almost like none of the workers noticed or cared. Again, very strange as this was the norm throughout. Although beautiful, I would not stay here again. And, there was a conference, so the pool was blocked off and we had to go elsewhere. Felt like we weren't important because we were not part of it. I also read that in other reviews. Make sure to inquire about events before you make your reservation here.

disfrutamos el watermark & Palomino. Nos gustó el Restaurante Ventanas, excelente. El Restaurante que no recomiendo es el mejicano La Ezkina nada nos gusto y fui con el grupo de amistades y todos salimos desencantados. En cuanto a entretenimiento noche música buena. Áreas limpias y bonitas.

I’m in love with this beautiful property! My top hotel thus far ! I enjoyed the view, the pool, the palomino(which is included with the hotel.. major PLUS) . The staff were very friendly and helpful! Everything about this hotel was a A ! I highly recommend this hotel if you are in Puerto Rico!

Really gigantic. Very long walk, with two elevators and a funicular to get to our room. Room was clean even if basic but ac worked well and the view was amazing. Staff super helpful and nice. Hard to reach staff by phone on first day. All meals and drinks were excellent.

This hotel hosts many conventions for corparate companies. Large groups of 300-400 employees which then have events and take over the amenities such as the pool and restaurants surrounding the pools. We were kicked out of the pool because the company that was hosting the event wanted no people in any of the pools. We were rudely kicked out by staff, it was disgraceful how they did it. Screaming and yelling get out!!! We were not notified by staff there will be an event that would restrict our amenities, the reason we chose El Conquistador is because of the pool as we have small children. They charge a lot of money in resort fees and rudely and without warning just kick you out of the pool. They kicked out all the families there out of the pool, vacations ruined. It was horrible entire family vacation was ruined and we were celebrating our daughter 9th birthday. Such a beautiful hotel ruined by the staff, absolute disaster we are NEVER going back!!!

Our first room had a dead cockroach by the entrance. The room smelled like mildew & there was another bug in our room. I called to get our room changed & they accommodated us. The second room smelled nice and it was very clean. Took both of my daughters to this resort and we loved it. The coqui water park was a lot of fun as well as the beautiful Palomino island. The food and drinks are expensive, the only place we enjoyed was a restaurant in La Marina which we had to take the funicular to get to. This resort is very kid friendly. Its a beautiful, spacious resort.

This was the nicest resort I have ever stayed at. The rooms were of high quality, the amenities are up to date. The resort is incredibly picturesque. You feel like you have access to a catamaran as you’re taking the water taxi to Palomino Island. Everyone, overall, was very friendly.
