Authentisch und geschmackvoll wohnen
In dem schönen alten Stadthaus, das in Brodgasse 3 (nicht wie angegeben Goldgasse 3) steht und authentisches Flair ausstrahlt, wohnten wir in Apartment Nr. 2 am vierten und letzten Stockwerk: sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet für einen hohen Wohlfühlfaktor. Leider funktionierte bei der Ankunft das Türöffnungssystem nicht; nur dank eines überaus freundlichen Hausbewohners kamen wir hinein! Auch die Nespresso-Maschine streikte, was wir Gott sei Dank sofort bemerkten, sodass wir uns zumindest mit Jacobs-Instantkaffee weiterhelfen konnten... : zwei kleine Wermutstropfen also, ansonsten alles perfekt! Für Gehtüchtige absolut empfehlenswert!

Die zentrale Lage ist genial, großzügiges Zimmer, obwohl kein Lift- dafür sehr viele Stufen ist es sehr schön wenn Antikes erwünscht ist, daher sind Salzburger Nockerln auch gut verträglich

Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sauber mit einer Küche in der auch alles vorhanden ist. Die Fewo liegt sehr zentral, mitten im Zentrum. Dank auch den netten Vermieter. Danke und gern wieder.

Great location with Character
The place was very nice both inside and where it was located. Definately take note of being on the 4th floor with no elevator. Normally would not have been a problem but my wife hurt her knee during our trip and had to walk up and down the 4 flights the whole time. But we would recommend this apartment. Had nice kitchenette to make smaller meals and there was a grocery store within walking distance.

Perfect Salzburg Location
The perfect location for a couple to visit Salzburg. We were minutes away from everything. The unit is a lovingly restored apartment in an historic building. Every detail is perfect. The bath is modern with a fabulous shower while the main room, the doors, lock sets and ceiling take you back centuries. The only warning, you must climb 4 narrow sets of stairs (approximately 80 steps) to reach the apartment. Carry on bags were difficult enough to navigate so beware if you have large or numerous luggage. I am 70 but in good condition; the stairs will be easier for those younger but the dimensions will not change. While we did not meet Alice she was a delight and prompt in all communications.

Amazing Place!!!!!
Our stay was wonderful and exactly what we needed! This location could not have been better. We were so close to everything and could walk within minutes to shopping, food and sightseeing. Wonderful stay in Old Town Salzburg
We loved our stay in this apartment in the historic, Old Town center of Salzburg! The apartment is beautiful, with excellent accommodations and amenities. We especially appreciated the washing machine, which was conveniently located right down the hall, with drying rack provided. The weather was very hot during our August stay, but a Dyson fan + windows kept us comfortable. This is a fantastic location for exploring historic Salzburg and attending the opera festival. Parking can be a challenge in this area, so we used one of the many Park & Rides - leaving our car outside city limits for a few days and riding the bus into town. This was both convenient and cost-effective. Overall, we had a great stay - highly recommended. Thank you!

Wonderfully Authentic
The apartment could not have been more centrally located. We were no more than 5 minutes away from any of the main sites in Old Town. The building has so much character it screamed history. It was a challenging climb up all of the stairs-especially with luggage and the stairs made it so that once we came down, we didn't want to go back up. The neighborhood can be a bit on the noisy side. Since you have to sleep with the windows open, the adjacent bar can be a bit loud and the street traffic (delivery trucks, etc) begin around 4:30. But-for the price and for the location I would stay here again!

Highly recommend!
We loved our stay here! It was a bit tricky for us to find at first, but once we reached our room we were all very happy to call this home for the next 2 nights. The room was clean and spacious. We had everything we needed. Location was great. Close to everything! Did get a little hit in there with no A/C…but otherwise great place!

WARM, INVITING, COMFORTABLE and PERFECT LOCATION
From beginning (booking) to end (departure) everything went/was perfection. Perfect location and ideal studio apartment
There is nothing like living in a space created in the 14th century yet having a modern bathroom and kitchen. The location is ideal. The only significant downside is that the parking garage is quite a walk and one cannot bring the car to the house such that one needs to be prepared to carry luggage for about 25 minutes.

I’ve learned to temper my expectations of vacation rentals based off of the pictures. This one was actually better than the pictures showed. The location is also right in the heart of the old town. The manager of the property seemed to have thought of everything. One thing we were unsure of prior to visiting was what the laundry situation was as we were in desperate need. There is a shared laundry among what appear to be a few other vacation rentals in the corridor on the same floor. All-in-all, this was a great place to stay.

Loved everything about this place!
My daughter, husband and I stayed at this property back in October and absolutely LOVED IT! The location was awesome! The room was clean, quiet, tastefully decorated, warm, and oh so much fun to get up to! We loved the entrance and the beautiful stone stairways that you get to enjoy up to your room. Alice was very helpful and we had no problems checking in or out. The city is stunning and we loved the fact that we were right in the middle of everything that we wanted to see. El alojamiento es tal y como se describe, ideal para alojarse en Salzburgo. El problema es la nula comunicación con el anfitrión. Las instrucciones para acceder que nos dio la anfitriona eran un código de acceso para la puerta de la calle y que dentro del apartamento, que estaría abierto, estaban las llaves. Al llegar a la puerta del inmueble nuestro código de acceso no abrió la puerta y lo mismo les ocurría a los huéspedes de otro de los apartamentos que estaban también en la puerta del inmueble. La anfitriona no respondió a nuestros mensajes a través de la mensajería de homeaway (no teníamos su teléfono, aunque se lo pedimos antes de ir y no nos lo facilitó), tampoco respondió a los otros huéspedes que sí tenían el teléfono. Al final pudimos acceder gracias a que un vecino nos abrió la puerta (este vecino nos dijo que el sistema de código no funcionaba.). Posteriormente con la llave que había en el apartamento ya pudimos abrir la puerta de la calle el resto de la estancia, pero la anfitriona jamás respondió a nuestros mensajes. Por lo que si no es por el vecino no hubiésemos podido acceder al apartamento, cosa que no parece haberle importado a la anfitriona.

Great location and ambiance!
My husband and I loved our 3-night stay in this apartment. After entering through the heavy metal door, you climb five flights of centuries old stone stairs surrounded by medieval decor. The apartment is beautifully decorated and updated. Alice, the host, was quick to respond to any questions and the central location was perfect! We were there in July during a heatwave, and although there is no air conditioning, the Dyson fan helped. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, really cool building
We loved our stay in this efficiency type apartment. We had plenty of room for our family of four, a well equipped kitchenette, and washer/dryer free down the hall. We were blocks from the grocery store and many of the tourist attractions. It was also an easy walk in from the train station. The host was easy to correspond with and responded promptly with check in instructions and responses to my questions about the area regarding hiking and services. We were even able to check in early which was great because we were loaded down with our backpacks during an intense heat wave. The building did not have air conditioning but we stayed cool with the fan and an open window. There were stairs to climb but we went up and down every day we appreciated the architecture and the little touches like automatic stairwell lights at our level. We would stay there again if visiting Salzburg.

Such a lovely apartment in a historic structure. Walking through the main entrance, through the halls and up the stairs is like stepping back in time to the 17th century, but you open the door to the apartment and all the modern day comforts await you. Furnished very comfortably but retaining architectural features. Clean, comfortable, everything provided for. So convenient to everything and just being in the middle of old town was fantastic!

We loved staying here! It was right in the center of the Salzburg Old Town, and was absolutely beautiful! The apartment was well appointed and was perfect for our stay. It combined modern conveniences with historical charm. The one downside for some is the stairs. The apartment is on the 4th floor (what we call the fifth floor in the US) and the stairs are rustic. I was fine with it, but it can be very difficult for some travelers.

My husband and I spent three wonderful days in Salzburg in December 2018 enjoying the Christmas festivities. This apartment is exactly as the pictures appear. It was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a fantastic trip. The home owner, Alice was terrific to work with. She was timely with all her responses to any information regarding our stay. She provided detailed instructions regarding how to get from the train station to the apartment along with instructions to get into the apartment. This is truly a charming apartment. It made us feel like a local, we hated to leave. My husband and I are already discussing returning to Salzburg in either the Spring or Fall, when we do we will book Alice’s apartment again.

This was our second time staying at this apartment. We are in our 70’s and still can do the four floors of stairs. It helped us get ready for skiing at Rauris this Christmas. The apartment is warm, clean and near many good places to eat. Salzburg is a great place to be for the Christmas markets and a nice small town.

Awesome apartment in great old city location
This apartment was clean and spacious. It is located in the heart of the old city. The building is like stepping back in time. The wide halls with vaulted, domed ceilings are so old and amazing. The best place we have stayed at this trip!
My husband and I have been travelling through Europe and Salzburg was our 6th stop. This place was by far the nicest, cleanest, and centrally located so far. The old building was full of character and history. The apartment was very nicely furnished/decorated, with antiques and had everything you would need. The apartment faces the street but with the window closed the noise wasn’t bad and the Dyson room fan helped. I only wish we had of stayed longer than two nights as Salzburg is lovely and this apartment was definitely on par with a five star hotel. The only recommendation I have would be to add a top sheet to the bed, as it does get warm and the comforters are just a bit to hot during the warmer months. Otherwise perfect! Thanks so much for a great stay!

In the heart of old town
We are a family of four and were very comfortable in this large efficiency. The entire apartment is renovated with a nice kitchen and relatively large bathroom. There is a single window that lets out to a quiet cobblestone street with unique shops by day and candle light dinner tables by night. There is no A/C, but the room is equipped with a modern floor fan that circulates air well. The washer and dryer are just outside the apartment door. There is one on every floor. The only possible negative is the four flights of stairs you need to climb to get to the flat. There is no elevator. We didn’t mind much, however. And saw it as a way to burn off some calories. I would stay here again.

A stunning apartment experience from the moment you walk through those big timber doors!
As a lover of history I was transfixed with the setting of this 14th century building. A bit of a climb to the 4th floor but totally worth it as we entered the lovely apartment. All the comforts of home with the advantage of a short walk to shops and tourist destinations. Salzburg at New Years is quite an event so we were fortunate to see the festivities in the square: ice skating, impromptu waltzing to Strauss, street vendors and lots of people! Not to mention the shots/fireworks/guns/ not sure what they were being fired from the high walls around the inner city! Quite a spectacle!
