Salt Ash is located just a short 10 minute drive from Newcastle Airport. South of Nelson Bay, you are within 20 minutes to numerous working farms and vineyards that hug the coastline, providing foodies with farm-gate fresh produce, from figs and boutique wineries to avocados and craft beer.
Murrays Brewery is famous for its unique craft beers which you can enjoy with wood-fired pizza and local music. Just up the road is Bobs Farm Avocado Stall (open from June - November) where you can purchase creamy avocados and bush honey straight from the farm - it doesnât get any fresher than that. If you love a fish dish then make sure you visit the working barramundi farm and hydroponic gardens where you can take a tour or just settle in and savour a delicious lunch in Cookabarra Restaurant.
For the more adventurous, get revved up at Go Karts Go and test your skills against the clock or get the gang together for a colourful battle at Hellfire Paintball. If youâve ever wanted to get up close and personal with sharks and stingrays then The Shark and Ray Rescue Centre is a must-see. Or for more land-based animals try Oakvale Wildlife Park - a fantastic animal adventure the whole family will enjoy with koalas, crocs, camels and kangaroos as well as baby animals, tractor rides, picnic areas and a chance to cool down at Splash Bay.

We understand how holidays, work trips and family or friend get togethers work and how travel can be tricky. We are happy to attempt to accommodate requests for early check ins and late check outs but, it is all about communication so please advise in your booking request if you would like us to consider this. If we have not discussed early arrival or the possibility of you checking out late we will proceed with business as usualâŠwhich includes our cleaners arriving bright and early.

We want you to enjoy your stay but we also respect our neighbours and wish to keep noise to a minimum.
