Niedliches englisches Haus, perfekt für einen Städtetrip!
Wir haben das Haus nicht als B&B genutzt, sondern sind als Gruppe von 8 Frauen für 5 Tage dort eingezogen. Von dort aus haben wir mehrere Städtetrips gemacht und uns natürlich auch Salisbury angesehen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist ein Traum! Das Stadtzentrum beginnt fast an der Bordsteinkante, die Kathedrale erreicht man in höchstens 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Die Wohnung erstreckt sich über drei Etagen und ist wunderbar geschnitten. Jedes Zimmer hat ein angrenzendes Bad, die Küche ist super ausgestattet und der liebevoll angelegte Garten bietet für acht Leute genug Platz. Bei unserer Ankunft fanden wir sogar eine Vase mit frischen Blumen und ein paar Süßigkeiten für uns Bereitgestellt! Kleine Zettelchen im Haus helfen dabei, sich überall sofort zurecht zu finden, was wir äußerst charmant fanden. Das Haus war insgesamt sehr sauber und gepflegt. Die Einrichtung mögen viele Leute sicherlich speziell/gewöhnungsbedürftig finden, aber wir haben sie (besonders die bunten Tapeten) geliebt! Lois war sehr freundlich, sie hat auf jede Mail von uns sofort geantwortet und war extrem zuvorkommend. Es war insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt, wir würden diese Unterkunft sofort wieder buchen!

Highly recommend this house
We loved the central location. The owner was very quick to respond to messages. The house was very clean, well equiped and although large was comfortable and cosy due to careful choice of furnishings and decor. It felt like a home not just another holiday let. We would use it again!!

Fabulous
Amazing stay in this beautiful Georgian house. It was very well equipped and there was added bonus on arrival, as there were the essential for anyone’s stay. Lois was very helpful and dealt with last minute vehicle changes. All in all we had a fantastic time and we have booked again for next year.

A beautiful English home
This home is lovely. Decorated beautifully. Comfortable. Convenient to the Chapter House for great food. Lois provided us with some breakfast essentials to get going in the morning, which was greatly appreciated.. loved it there, although parking was a little difficult, had 2 handicapped family members, even though we had permitted parking across the street, parking was not readily available when we needed it…

We are very pleased that Jeanine stay was so successful. John and I feel that the comments regarding the parking are a somewhat inaccurate. We offer an abundance of parking, in residence zones that cover several streets and a residents only carpark. This is a rarity in a city centre. Perhaps as Jeanine lives outside of the UK she was not aware that it is perfectly reasonable and legal to drop passengers off (especially those in their 90s) outside the front door. We have lived here for 27 years and have had hundreds of deliveries, taxi pick ups and passengers getting out onto the pavement. We hope to see Jeanine and family again one day, they were outstanding guests.

Very nice house and location. Lois made everything extremely easy and she is a wonderful host! The location was perfect for our day trips into the country and the multiple restaurants within walking distance made dinner very easy. Plenty of room for six adults and the back garden is wonderful.

Fantastic house - we’d love to go back!

Very, very nice place to stay a while
The house is three stories and has plenty of room. It used to be a bed and breakfast, and the kitchen is the best appointed of any rental I have every stayed in anywhere. It would be possible to cook quite comfortably here just about anything. There is a really nice back garden to relax in. Everything is clean and comfortable and well decorated. It is on a busy street, so the front of the house gets road noise during the day. The street is quiet at night, and the back rooms were never loud. It is an easy walk to what you'd like to access in Salisbury. The owner provides a parking pass, so it's possible to park just across the street. This was a real bonus!

Great stay
House was very comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed eating in the back garden. The owner is very welcoming and accommodating. The location is excellent - the one small issue being that the street is very busy and hard to cross. The city could be a little more pedestrian-friendly!

Great place, perfect location
Tragically I was unable to go on my girls weekend away due to Covid, however my friends apparently had a fabulous time despite this setback! Communication with the owner was great and very responsive, as well as flexible when we had to reschedule after the original booking was cancelled due to lockdown. My friends tell me the property was very clean, had everything you’d need, and a bit quirky (in a good way!). It was in a great central location so you could pop home for coffee midway through exploring Salisbury. The drawback of this is parking can be tricky, though I understand they managed to park on the road. Overall they had a fabulous time. I’m just sorry I missed it!

Location is fantastic, just 5 minutes from city centre and Cathedral. The property was brilliant, really clean, warm and perfect for a family break. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking. Back garden is overlooked by flats but wasn’t a problem for us as it was too cold to be barbecuing!

Fantastic reunion stay for old friends!
As a group of old school friends - all approaching our big 50 - we have got into the habit of meeting annually in order to keep in touch and be reminded of why we've been friends for so long. 2020 created a blip in these plans and we missed our get together. But meeting at Lois' house in Salisbury was the perfect place to meet and enjoy good food and company after a difficult 18 months. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Great house for a family meet up!
The house was a spacious place for six adults and two children to come together. We had a great time staying at the property which had everything we needed. The central location was perfect too, with both views of the cathedral and a few minutes walk to pubs, restaurants and shops.

Lovely town house in a charming city
Everything was great ! My sister could not open the window on the top floor, which made sleeping uncomfortable ( main road side, had been a beautiful hot day). Parking was easy and the city was a charming place.

Fantastic house close to everything Salisbury has to offer
This is a great house with quality furniture and furnishings. The communication with the owner Lois was excellent. All COVID precautions were taken and we felt extremely safe. The location of the property meant that the cathedral, town centre and river Avon are all within a 5-10 minute walk. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and at some point return.

This is a great, characterful property with a lovely garden (photos don't do it justice), a stone's throw from the beautiful cathedral and mediaeval town, while a short drive into the New Forest for anyone looking for longer (and easily socially distanced) walks. The perfect weekend away
I stayed in The Spire House on Saturday with my boyfriend and some of our close friends. We are all in agreement that it was the most perfect weekend away ! The house is right in the centre of town, so close to everything you need, we were able to park opposite the front door (all three cars) from check in time, with the permits provided, and prior to this we easily parked in a nearby car park that was very cheap. The house itself was spotless from top to bottom, the decor is fun and quirky whilst also being comfy and homely. We went on a lengthy walk Saturday then came back for a nice hot shower (each room had an en suite) then cooked dinner in the massive kitchen, which had everything we needed. There were also helpful little notes regarding where to put bin etc which was great! We were left tea bags , coffee pods , a few breakfast items and other essentials, which was a lovely touch. During these difficult times there was even a box containing masks and anti bac, in case required for going to the shops. The lounge room on the second floor has an incredible view of the lit up cathedral at night , a great place to sit and have evening drinks and play card games. The beautiful garden has a large table too, perfect for a family meal. The Cathedral is a short walk and well worth a visit. We were even offered 10% off at the nearby restaurant, which was delightful, my meat eating friends assured me had some of the best steaks they’ve ever had. The veggie options were great too. As a host, Lois is wonderful, she replied to all my messages quickly and could not have done more to help. There is nothing I would do to improve the property, nor the stay in general, only that I wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend staying here, a beautiful place and a great price too. We are planning on coming back ASAP!

Wonderful stay!
A group of us wanted to go away for the weekend and staying in Lois’s home in Salisbury was perfect. The interior of the house was full of character and we loved it. All the utensils and resources in the kitchen were amazing. We made the most of the kitchen cooking a big dinner and breakfast. Location is perfect. Salisbury cathedral is so beautiful. We would definitely recommended staying in this home and we hope to come back!! Lois was great at communicating logistics for check in and everything was super clear and easy. We appreciate and could tell she wanted us to enjoy our time in her house!

Perfect Christmas Break
This was a beautiful home. It was full of character, comfortable, tastefully decorated and spacious enough for our family of ten. It has the best stocked kitchen I’ve encountered in 20+ years of renting vacation homes! Street parking was very easy and convenient with the permits arranged for us. Great Location near York Minster and Amazing back yard
Really enjoyed our stay at the house. For someone where stairs would be a problem maynot a good fit, but for our group not a problem. The kitchen was well equipped and we really enjoyed happy hour in the spacious backyard. Bedrooms had fans which were nice given the heat wave and the plumbing all worked well. Perfectly appointed, spacious, 3 storey house with a view of the cathedral from the enclosed back garden and within easy walking distance from the town centre shops and other points of interest. Spotlessly clean throughout, very comfortable beds (memory foam mattresses I think). As a group of 5 adults, we stopped for 2 nights and we all commented how we would not hesitate to book again if we were stopping in the area again. Communication with Lois, the owner, was spot on. She organised the car parking passes for 3 cars prior to arrival and every query I had was answered by email within the day. She left a welcome basket of lovely goodies for us in the kitchen, including a bottle of wine and yummy chocolate cookies. In summary, a faultless 2 night stay. Thank you Lois and John.

Fantastic Weekend
I booked the house for a group of 10 of us to celebrate a 40th birthday. We had the most amazing time in this beautiful house. It is short walk to the catherdral, shops, bars and places to eat. The house was plenty big enough for all of us, with a lovely big kitchen, dinning room where we spent most of our time and we could all sit around together and a small snug living room. Bedrooms were lovley with en-suits. The fourth bedroom was used as a beautiful reception room, but has a pull down sofa bed so it can double as both. Still a beautifull room to sleep in. Lois, the host was very friendly and answered all my questions. She even left us bread and milk and other M&S bits. There was even fresh flowers dotted about the place and you could tell that she wanted us to enjoy our time.in her home. Highly recomended for a group gathering.

Beautiful house and feels like a real home..
It feels like entering the Tardis as from the street you have no impression of how lovely and big the house is going to be. Kitchen is fantastic and really well equipped with lovely roses and food to get us started. Great garden which we will need to come back and see when it’s not raining. Bedrooms all comfortable with nice linens. Really loved the decor and had made me want to be more adventurous with wallpaper! Overall a lovely place to stay to see the sights of Salisbury: loved walking around the cathedral and our five year old very impressed he could see spire from his bedroom. We’ll be back.

Our family of three adults and three early teens fit right into Spire House and the community. Lois was always on top of communication and ready to answer our questions. Our youngsters loved the nearby Chinese restaurant and preferred to have most dinners from there. Croissants from the local bakery were the morning treat. We loved our tour of Salisbury Cathedral with Mary as our tour guide. Mary knows Lois, so by association, we practically felt like locals ourselves. Lois and John have done a splendid job of decorating and updating their charming home. We had loads of room for all of us and found the location perfect for walking to Sainsbury's, the shopping district or local restaurants. We highly recommend Spire House for a relaxed holiday in Wiltshire. There is much to do within an easy drive.

Great location, comfortable home, amazing kitchen! Stay here!
This was a great spacious home that really felt like a home yet so close to everything in Salisbury. Lois and the property manager, Karen, were very helpful with the parking details and the many notes helped guide us through the intricacies of any home in the city. I would definitely recommend this place.

Lovely home in a great location 5 mins from city centre
We had a very lovely 3 days in Salisbury in this very comfortable house. We were 7 people with 5 adults and 2 children from 4 from Canada, 3 from Yorks and the home accommodated us easily. It is very spacious with opportunities for groups to have differing activities, especially if the weather is unreliable. The bedrooms are large for the UK and each has an ensuite. The kitchen is modern very well appointed and the its obvious the owners are very well organised. The garden is a great place to relax for an hour or two to listen to the birds. Lois was a pleasure to deal with and overall this property is Highly recommended
