Lage super, leider etwas unsauber.
Das Hotel war soweit eigentlich ganz schön und gemütlich. Die Lage war sehr gut. Leider wurde mir beim Check-in das bereits bezahlte Zimmer nochmal komplett berechnet. Nachdem es mir aufgefallen ist, wurde mir der Betrag jedoch zurückerstattet. Das Zimmer ist eigentlich gut ausgestattet, jedoch leider etwas unsauber. Wir waren mit einem Baby dort und leider hatte unser kleiner Ständig irgendwelche Krümel oder anderen Müll/Dreck im Mund. Der Wasserkocher den wir für die Babynahrung (Pulvermilch, etc.) benötigten war total versaut (Schmutz, Rost, Stückchen, braunes Wasser) und war auch nicht im Ansatz noch sauber zu bekommen. Das war schon grenzwertig. Das Frühstück hingegen war sehr gut, aber auch sehr teuer. Der Service im Restaurant bzw. beim Frühstück war sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommend.

Sehr gut gelegenes Hotel
Das Hotel ist etwa 10 Fußminuten vom Zentrum gelegen und bietet einen großen hoteleigenen Parkplatz. Das Zimmer war ausreichend gut eingerichtet mit einem großen Badezimmer. Die Sauberkeit war gut bis sehr gut. Wir haben ein Frühstück hinzugebucht, welches grundsätzlich gut war, das Buffet war aber nicht überaus reichhaltig. Die Qualität war auch durchschnittlich. Hervorzuheben ist aber die Freundlichkeit des Personals, hiervon wiederum Radmilla an der Rezeption, die sehr hilfsbereit und eben freundlich war. Danke! Wir hatten auf unserer Südenglandrundreise auch einige ganz gegenteilige Erfahrungen, weshalb ein derart positiver Eindruck umso mehr in Erinnerung bleibt.

Das erste Frühstück war k.o. Tisch wegen einer Riesen Reisegruppe. Ansonsten soweit zufrieden, fußläufig zur Stadt.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommens Mittelklasse Hotel
Standardzimmer sind sauber aber schon etwas abgenutzt. Daher sollte man bei den Zimmern lieber in der höheren Kategorie buchen. Das Bild im Web zeigt leider nur das alte hübsche Gebäude und nicht den Standardkomplex dahinter. Frühstück ist typisch englisch aber OK. Die Lage des Hotels ist allerdings sehr gut. Zentrale Lage zur Innenstadt (Kathedrale ca. 8-10 Min zu Fuß) und Ausflüge nach Stonehenge sind auch sehr gut zu planen & organisieren.

Schwache Leistung
Vor 20 Jahren vielleicht noch akzeptabel, heute nicht mehr. Wie immer das Hauptproblem in England: Sanitär. Kein warmes Wasser, Wasserdruck nicht ausreichend und ein lautes Gluckern die ganze Nacht.

Place is under refurbishment so unfair to give an assessment. Only disappointing thing was that we were not informed that there was no bar or restaurant before we arrived, so had to go elsewhere for dining,very annoying and inconvenient.

We had a lovely stay here= the staff and breakfast was excellent! The lower starts are only because the hotel is undergoing a refurb and so a lot of facilities weren't available and the outside didn't look the best due to plant/barriers etc. This will be temporary and I think will be great when all done! We were warned of the refurb atthe time of booking. Would definitely rebook!

Tired hotel in need of TLC
The pros -Duty manager gave us a 30% refund and a bottle of red wine. -Supportive staff. -TV in room had all the apps you’d imagine on a modern LED TV. We ended up watching Netflix ;). Breakfast was cheap and of a good standard. The cons -The hotel is quite dated. -Heater is on a timer, so when we checked in, it was a cold and damp room. -wall mounted temporary electrical heater sounded like a jet taking off and made the walls vibrate when on. -Hot water for bath and shower wasn’t really a thing. But hot enough in the sink. I felt that the price charged for the room isn’t realistic. It felt very much like a budget motel although photos would have you believe otherwise. It was cold and damp. So much so that I went to the front desk and made a complaint. The duty manager came to my room after 5 min and offered a refund and a bottle of wine which was very kind and appreciated! Manager explained that the rooms were being upgraded. I just felt a tad cheated as I booked this hotel due to its proximity to Salisbury town and based on the photographs. This is either a hotels.con issue or honesty of the hotels as this has happened a few times now. Would I stay at this hotel again - no, however, if the rooms were upgraded then I would based on the staff and proximity.

The location was brilliant for the town. We had no toilet roll in the rooms. The staff seemed immature and didnt really know how to handle the hotel - ie quoted wrong prices for breakfast and were asked 3 times to bring milk to room and they still forgot. We had a baby (they knew, as cot requested) but they put us on the top floor with no lift and nowhere to store buggy. The hairdryer almost caught fire and there was a large party in the hotel until the early hours with DJ music playing. I would not recommend this hotel.

The only room they had available for us smelled like mildew, had peeling wallpaper, potentially dirty sheets, and mold in the shower. After I asked for another room, the receptionist told us they had another room that normally reserved for staff sleeping quarters, but the window didn't close. So at 12:30 AM (after we arrived around 11:30 PM), he and I are in that room attempting to get the window closed enough to latch. We managed to latch it, so my wife and I could just go to sleep. In the morning, maintenance knocked on our door at 8 AM. Evidently not getting the message that the room had been booked with a paying guest. They were doing construction while we were there and I'm willing to forgive that mess, but we will never go back. I asked the receptionists upon check out about the bill, hoping they might knock a few pounds off for our trouble and they told me I didn't owe any additional money for staying in the "suite." Gee, thanks. I certainly hope I wouldn't be charged for fixing your broken window. The manager was supposed to call me and follow up but I haven't heard a peep.

I'm sorry to read that you didn't enjoy your stay with us and that your original room was not up to standard, likewise maintenance issues in the other room that your were accommodated. We don't have staff sleeping quarters, so I'm unsure as to where you were actually allocated. I've not been advised of your feedback, perhaps you would email me at the Hotel, detailing who you spoke to, and I will investigate further.

Gym closed
Booked hotel due to advertised Gym and spa facilities. Both gym/spa are closed EVERY evening between 6pm-9pm, so no good for anyone working. Very disappointing.
