Das Hotel befindet sich in einem alten Gebäude, was sehr charmant ist, besonders die Oak Bar mit Ledersesseln und Kaminfeuer. Im Sommer kann man sicher sehr schön draußen sitzen, direkt am Fluss Avon. Wir haben gut geschlafen, das Zimmer war groß und sauber und das Frühstück auch gut.

Schönes altes Hotel mit etwa durchlässigen Wänden und Fenstern. Frühstück sehr teuer und nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen. Ansonsten ganz ok.

Das Hotel ist super schön gelegen. Vom Zimmer hat man direkten Zugang zum Garten, der direkt an den River Avon grenzt. Von dort hat man einen schicken Blick auf die Kathedrale. Sehr, sehr schön!!! Das Frühstück ist okay (kontinental), Freunde des englische Frühstücks können warme Speisen extra bestellen. Die Bar ist nett und hat eine gute Auswahl lokaler Biere. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist der niedrige Wasserdruck der Duschen, da wird das Entfernen des Shampoos aus den Haaren zeitintensiv und quälend. Der Garten macht dieses Manko aber x-mal wieder gut!!!

Super Bett und schöne Lage. Das war's auch schon. Das Hotel ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und sehr abgewohnt. Das Bad war bei Ankunft schmuddelig, ebenso wie der Frühstücksraum, wo man mit Spinnennetzen am Tisch begrüßt wird. Beim Frühstück wird dann auch noch abkassiert. Obwohl man ein Zimmer mit Frühstück inklusive gebucht hat, soll man für das vollständige Frühstück mit warmen Speisen (Ei, Bacon, Beans) nochmal rund 10€ pro Person drauf zahlen. Das ist frech. Sehr schade. Man könnte viel aus dem Hotel machen, aber so kommen wir nicht wieder.

WC-Sitz und WC-Schüssel nicht sauber, Doppelbett aus 2 Einzelbetten nicht fixiert. Zimmertelefon und TV-Gerät ohne Funktion. In der Dusche nur zwischen heißem Wasser und brühendheiß wählbar. Bis zum Abreisetag keine Abhilfe erfolgt. Das Thema Verbrühungen wurde durch weitere Reisende an die Rezeption gemeldet. Lediglich der Hinweis ö, dass das Thena bekannt ist. Am Anreisetag kein Gepäcktransport vom Auto zum Zimmer trotz Information, dass Reisende starke Rückenprobleme hat.

Good afternoon, I am sorry your stay was not satisfactory. We spoke on the issues you have highlighted and they were passed onto the correct department to be dealt with. I apologise that they were not dealt with. The TV has been repaired and the shower problem corrected. I believe my colleague did assist with your bags on departure following our conversation. I have advised all staff to assist guests to if they have health issues and require assistance with luggage. Once again I would like to apologise on behalf of myself and my team.

Die Unterkunft liegt absolut bezaubernd an einem Fluss. Man kann sehr schön draußen sitzen. Das Hotel könnte etwas mehr in Schuss gehalten werden. Das Essen war sehr gut aber nicht ganz günstig.

alles perfekt, wir kommen wieder!
Die Lage des Hotels mit dem dazugehörenden kleinen Park direkt am Avon ist fantastisch. Zu Fuss ist man in 10 Minuten bei der grossen Kathedrale und in ca. 15 Minuten bei den vielen Restaurants und Einkaufsläden. Das Zimmer war klein, aber zweckmässig und sauber. Es hatte sogar eine Nespresso-Maschine im Zimmer. Es war sehr ruhig. Praktisch ist auch der hoteleigene Parkplatz. Das Frühstücksbuffet war i.O. Am besten hat uns die Hotelumgebung und das alte Gebäude, in welchem das Restaurant und Reception untergebracht ist, gefallen

Hübsch und schöne Lage am Fluss
Das Hotel ist sehr hübsch. Es hat einen neuen, „normalen“ Anbau. Restaurant mit guter Küche. Kontinentales Frühstück ist inklusive, wer bacon und Ei nicht zu seinen Favoriten zählt, ist damit gut bedient. Wir drei hatten Standardzimmer und damit sehr kleine Fenster, bzw. die Lage ist nicht die schönste. Straßenlärm haben wir nicht gehört, nur wenn vom Parkplatz jemand fuhr, hörte man es, was selten war. Die Stadt war sehr nah, ein kleiner netter Spaziergang und man stand vor der Kathedrale.

Ausgezeichnete Lage des Hotels am Fluss Avon. Die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss haben eine kleine Terasse mit direktem Zugang zur Wiese und zum Flussufer. Über den Bäumen sieht man den Turm der Kathedrale. Sehr nettes Personal. Die Kathedrale und das Stadtzentrum sind ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.

A characterful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious and in the old part of the hotel, full of old beams and quirky corners. Bed was large and comfortable. Lighting was a bit lacking and because we faced onto the street it was not suitable to have the blinds and curtains open. The restaurant had a great aspect facing onto the river and grounds. Breakfast was OK and fairly standard fayre, but plenty of choice and supply. Staff all very friendly and helpful Very convenient for accessing the city on foot, a pretty walk to the cathedral or the main road to more restaurants and shops. We enjoyed our stay and would happily come again.

This is a fantastic hotel. The location is as convenient as anywhere we have ever been. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and big. We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Sitting out overlooking the river was a delightful experience and belied the fact that we were within a few hundred yards of the town. We could have been deep in beautiful countryside. Less than Inspiring
Hotel is tired looking with basic facilities in the rooms. Service was offhand and less than welcoming. The dining room was cold. Breakfast was adequate and the coffee good. Dinner was less than inspiring; large choice on the menu but the food was bland and uninteresting. Major plus point - lovely location by the river.
