Your comment is for me a precious help to maintain a quality service to my guests. You are disappointed for the absence of a restaurant and a bar in my establishment which is, as you say, a B & B. In France, B & Bs can not have a restaurant, unlike hotels. However, I cook every day for my guests who choose to dine at my table d'hôtes. That's why I asked you by email in the days before your arrival, and as to all my future hosts, if you wanted to dine, request reformulated upon your arrival. Note that I misinterpreted your lack of response, considering that you would not dine at my table. Cooking only seasonal local produce, it is impossible for me to serve a quality dinner whose request is made at the last minute. Moreover, you did not ask me to book one of the restaurants I recommend in my guest book, what I always do when asked, knowing that small restaurants in rural areas are usually closed at least 2 days a week and mostly on Sundays, the day of your arrival. No need to justify a posteriori your early departure by unfair motives. Indeed, you told me about your wish to shorten your stay because the activities you wanted to do (visits of brocantes and antiques markets) turned out to be too far from my guest house. Fully understanding and accepting your decision, I immediately made arrangements with your travel agency so that it does not charge you a partial cancellation fee normally provided for in your reservation contract. More generally, my house, set in the vineyards, is known for its calm and tranquility. This is why it is lalelled as a Relais du Silence. I can understand your surprise for its small capacity (4 rooms - 4 suites) and the calm that reigns there. Then, thanks to you, I will now make sure to express this point more clearly in the information that I provide to my hosts before they arrive.
