„A charming small hotel on the French / Spanish border. The couple who run the hotel are as accommodating as can be, and really a very nice experience. We were hiking in the Selva di Irati park, and this was one of the closest hotels. We were very happy with our choice. Would highly recommend!“

The restaurant food was good although the pork knuckle was mostly knuckle but the little pork was very tasty.“

„The room was very clean & bright. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel was in the centre of this lovely town (Espelette) & next to the shops. I understand the breakfasts are well liked but I didn’t eat breakfast there. The was a helpful book re trails including the one to the top of the hill right opposite my bedroom window. Arriving at the front door, we were shocked to see an overflowing ashtray – not a good first impression. We were then greeted by ‘someone’ – the welcome was so cold that we wondered if in fact we were in the right place. He (turns out it ...
