„The hotel is stunning and the grounds around it are incrdible. The promenade walk was out of this world. Very friendly staff and helpful. The pool is very clean. „Every aspect of the hotel was great. The location, building and presentation. Staff were fantastic, Lake View room was a treat and offered a very large double comfortable bed. The only down point was that our room was not serviced following our first night stay. Although reception was informed during the afternoon the room did not get serviced or towels changed. „We enjoyed staying in the property. We had a car and can visit all the Lake District attractions from the location. The view of the hotel was superb and manage to take some nice snaps. „Das Hotel hat eine hübsche Lage im Grünen und besonders von der Terrasse aus, einen schönen Blick auf Lake Windermere. Super Hallenbad mit sehr angenehm warmem Wasser. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Ortes und hat keine Möglichkeit direkt zum See zu kommen. Zu Fuß braucht man ca. 30min in den hübschen Ort Bowness on Windermere, was nur dann etwas stört, wenn man so wie wir, leider nur wenig Zeit mitbringt. (Nur 1 Nacht). Schönes Frühstücksbuffet!“

"The historic building is fabulous, the atmosphere great, it's the pole position in Windermere, great view on the lake. I wonder if it is necessary that during the summer season the building is under construction. With scaffoldings in front of the windows, some parts of the building beside the entrance in bad condition, and even a corridor we had to pass everyday was stuffed with furniture, cardboard boxes ... This is not the atmosphere for holidays. Due to repairs on some wires, the internet connection broke down every night. The location is great, but there's some work to do to bring it back to its standard. "
