Nie wieder
Hotel war bei Ankunft geschlossen........ Trotz Email wegen später Ankunft war niemand anzutreffen. Bei Nacht und Nebel Aktion ein anderes Hotel zu finden, war äußerst schwierig

Green man pub
Service and staff were quick and friendly. Car park was a good size with plenty of spaces. An outdoor playground for the younger children. Outdoor smoking area for those that smoke. The quality of the food in the pub was good and would recommend eating there. There was a little boise from the pub downstairs as you would expect. But wasn't bad, and ended when the pub closed. The rom unfortunately was a little tired. The double bed was two singles pushed together, unfortunately they were slight height differences. The room window wouldn't close properly, so there was a bit of noise from outside. There was a crack in the bathroom sink that had been patched over. There was a large stain on the carpet. It may seem negative but the building is 400 years old and has a charm of it's own.

Good stay, quirky pub serving excellent food
Room was basic but clean and perfectly functionable. Only issue with bed mattress - old and could do with being replaced. Great bar/restaurant, serving excellent food and service top notch.

Great value.
All in all extremely good value for a twin room. The evening meal and beer (Timothy Taylor) was very good too. The only downside was the lack of breakfast availability. We only found out that they no longer did breakfasts on arrival as they don't have a chef in the morning and apparently it "wasn't worth their while".Luckily the hotel over the road were happy to take our money!

Dirty saucers on the tea tray, cobwebs and spiders in bathroom, towels smelt stale. the carpet on stairs to our room was filthy. The stairs smelled awful which filtered into our room. should have had 2 double beds but only got 1 double and one small single which was rocky and noisy. (However, price was reduced by £12 for this) I suppose for a 2* B&B I expected basic but the overall smell was awful. Would never stay there again.

Quirky property, lovely food in the restaurant and well priced. Unfortunately room was far too hot ; only one window would open and the road noise was constant from 04:50.

Enjoyed our night here, good atmosphere, busy pub and restaurant, good food, good breakfast, very friendly staff. Only fault I found was the double bed in our room could have been better........ Overall I found it a very nice place to stay and would stay there again.

A short one night visit
A small top floor room, two narrow single beds. Room very clean and small shower/sink/toilet very clean. Nice towels and tea facilities. No complaint. Car park and access arrangements good. We did not have breakfast but friends did and said it was good.

arrived after a long drive pub was packed could not get a meal no tables to sit at told we would have to wait an hour car park was full also seemed if you arrive late you could not get in break fast was good plenty to eat room was quit stairway to room did smell of cooking really strong seemed they were using the entrance door as a vent for the kitchen bit dated but good for price we ended up going to the takeaway for a meal seemed the locals were more important

Great bargain stay
Staff were friendly, and helpful. Room was clean and beds comfy. And a great location with plenty of parking. Only complaint was the water temperature was inconsistent. The sink cold tap would run warm, the shower was fine, until the final time when it was running super hot even on the lowest setting. We found that turning the sink cold tap on, ment the shower ran cooler o.O Not sure why that worked, but It did. Would happily stay again though
