Welcome to this charming duplex located on Rue de l’Écureuil in Rouen, right in the heart of the city’s most attractive area. You’ll enjoy an ideal location to do everything on foot (shops, restaurants, the historic center, etc.). Directly opposite the building is the Palais de Justice underground car park, paid and secure, which is very convenient for parking.

The apartment is on the ground floor at the back of the building, in a quiet setting (not facing the street). This lovely one-bedroom duplex has been designed for your comfort. On the first level, you’ll find a bright living room with a sofa, and an open-plan kitchen fully fitted and equipped so you can cook as at home: oven, microwave, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, extractor hood, Nespresso-style coffee machine, kettle, toaster, and a selection of kitchen utensils. You’ll also have a modern shower room with toilet and a washing machine.

Upstairs, the mezzanine bedroom welcomes you in a cozy atmosphere, with a wardrobe/dressing area and a lovely glass floor section that brings a great sense of space and light.

Bed linen and household linens are provided for your comfort. The property does not include private parking, but you can park in the surrounding streets according to the city’s current rates, or use the Palais de Justice car park located just across the street.

The accommodation is managed by L’ArchiDuchesse Concierge Service, available 7 days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. To finalize your reservation and obtain the access codes, a bank pre-authorization will be required via a secure link. If you’d like to enjoy your stay a little longer, a flat fee of €10 applies for an early check-in or late check-out, subject to availability and prior approval from our concierge team.

## Neighborhood

The Palais de Justice area in Rouen is one of the city’s most iconic and historic neighborhoods, right in the city center. It is surrounded by many landmarks and heritage buildings, creating a picturesque atmosphere that attracts visitors.

The Rouen Palais de Justice, a jewel of Flamboyant Gothic architecture, is a truly impressive masterpiece. Its richly sculpted façade and refined details tell the story of the city. As you stroll through the area, you’ll also discover cobbled streets, half-timbered houses, and other historic buildings, giving the neighborhood an authentic medieval charm.

The district is ideally located just a short walk from some of Rouen’s major attractions, such as Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Historial Jeanne d’Arc, and Saint-Maclou Church. Most of the city’s key sights are within walking distance, making this neighborhood a perfect base for exploring Rouen.

The Palais de Justice area blends history, medieval charm, and modern conveniences, making it a highly sought-after place to stay.

## Transit

In addition to being central, the neighborhood is well served by public transport, including Rouen’s buses and metro. It is also easy to reach from the train station.

The “Palais de Justice” metro station is just a few steps from the Palais de Justice itself. It is served by Rouen’s metro line, which runs north to south through the city. The metro connects the neighborhood to several key points, including Rouen Rive Droite train station (about a 5-minute ride), making it easy to connect to Paris and other cities in the region. It also serves residential areas and shopping districts, which is convenient for visitors.

Many bus lines run through or near the Palais de Justice area. The “Palais de Justice” stop is served by several lines, including F1, F2, and F7 (high-frequency lines) that cover much of the Rouen metropolitan area. These routes make it easy to reach more distant neighborhoods or specific tourist spots.

The TEOR lines (T1, T2, T3) also cross the city center from west to east and stop nearby. TEOR services are frequent and run on dedicated lanes, helping to avoid traffic congestion.

In short, whether by metro, bus, bike, or on foot, the Palais de Justice neighborhood is perfectly connected, making it easy to get around Rouen.

Please note that the building does not have an elevator and the apartment is located on the ground floor.

Check-in is self-service for greater flexibility. Check-in starts from 4:00 p.m., and check-out must be completed by 11:00 a.m. at the latest.

The accommodation is managed by L’ArchiDuchesse Concierge Service, available 7 days a week (from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.). In this home, all guests receive household linens, first-day essentials (shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, toilet paper, etc.), as well as one large towel per person, plus tea towels and one bath mat per bathroom. A complimentary welcome kit is provided upon arrival for the duration of the stay, including a kitchen trash bag, a bathroom trash bag, a sponge, and dishwashing liquid.

Mid-stay cleaning, fresh linens/towels, restocking of essentials, or deliveries can be arranged upon request for an additional fee. Enjoying a rental also means following a few rules so everything goes smoothly and to avoid any surprises with the security deposit. Please take care of the home as if it were your own: avoid damage, respect the furniture, and leave the place tidy upon departure. Follow the guidelines regarding schedules and equipment use, and respect the peace and quiet of the neighborhood. And if any small issue arises, don’t hesitate to let us know. Please remember that parties are strictly forbidden (€250 deducted from the deposit), the property is strictly non-smoking (€50 deducted from the deposit), pets are not allowed (€50 deducted from the deposit) unless you request and receive our prior approval, and any loss, theft, or damage will be charged at the full replacement value.
