„When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. „Sehr sauber , alles wie beschrieben . Dass eine Landstraße am Haus vorbei führt war ja im voraus bekannt . Auf der vorderen Veranda ist der Lärm aber lange nicht so schlimm wie von manchen beschrieben . Für Ausflüge in die Berge ist die Lage sogar sehr gut . Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt .“

„Really a nice place! Spotless, quiet and just the right size for the 2 of us. All went well. The hosts are very responsive to questions. The detailed handout of things to do was very useful. We followed their recommendations and were quite pleased. Love the stand of mature ponderosa pines out the front door. View from the deck of the whole valley is special. Faces east so is really nice at dawn over the mountains. Thanks so much.“

„We got to watch the homecoming parade that went right by our home. Table with 6 chairs was great for playing cards.grocery store was a short walk away. The house was clean and a gas grill that we used a few times. Very nice thrift ships and shopping close by. I would stay at this property again next time we go to Deerlodge.“

„Love love love this place!!! Minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone and yet walkable to anywhere in town for shopping or eating. Fully appointed condo with all the comforts of home. Being a small unit they have maximized the space wonderfully. There is a barn door with no lock for the bathroom which is my only (mild) criticism- my kids don’t respect a closed door 😂 Would also love a little extra piece of mind with a deadbolt inside but overall a wonderful stay!!!“
