Great apartment in a convenient location.
The apartment has a view of the sea, and is right by a staircase to a set of boulders overlooking the sea and a scenic lookout with benches. It's fairly convenient to both the harbor, "downtown" and the station, with moderate climbs/walks to all of the above. The hostess, Sara, was absolutely fantastic in explaining the town, the best routes to take through the labyrinthine alleys, restaurant recommendations, event tips etc. She really helped maked the stay. The parking option: if you let the hosts know you need a parking spot, they will try to reserve you one, but the options are limited and unless you request one early you're not quaranteed to get one. It will cost whatever the owner of the parking lot will charge. So if you need a spot, request one early! By far preferred -- take the train.

The room is lovely, we had a small balcony where we could eat our croissants and coffee in the morning. The bed is comfortable and bathroom with shower excellent. There are lots of flights of stone steps to get to the room and unfortunately we hadnt packed light so this is the ònly disadvantage of staying here, just bear that in mind when booking. Didnt stop an enjoyable stay, gorgeous place.

Et veldig bra sted å bo
Romslig og fint rom/leilighet. Alt i denne byen er bakker og trapper, og det var adkomsten også. Men anvisningen fra utleierne var veldig presis, så det var ikke noe som helst problem. Fantastisk vennlig og god service fra utleierne hele veien! De ringte oss bl.a. for å fortelle at det var oransje nedbørsvarsel, og at restaurantene ville stenge kl. 21:00, så vi burde spise tidlig. Senga var litt fast, og dørene til dusjen hadde sett sine beste dager, men pytt :)

Communication was excellent and when checking in was shown the property and how things worked. Also was given plenty of useful information regarding Riomaggiore. Property is in a great spot in the main street of Riomaggiore. We loved the large balcony on which to have sunset drinks.

We were not informed when booking the property that there would be a possibility of construction on the building while we were staying there. There was scaffolding and workers around our unit every day we were there. I filed a formal complaint with Expedia. As it stands right now, we have not been compensated for this ridiculous inconvenience.

Un très joli séjour à Riomaggiore !
Le séjour était super. La vue depuis le logement est incroyable. Sara est une personne très agréable, vraiment disponible, avec un sens du service génial ! La ville est la plus intéressante des Cinque Terre. Seul le service de stationnement est complexe. Nous avons du nous garer en dehors de la ville est commandé un taxi pour revenir.

Can’t recommend Sottocoperta enough! The host was extremely helpful and the area couldn’t be better, right on the Main Street in Riomaggiore. Other villages are accessible by quick train, station is under 5 minutes away. Our room was perfect for our stay and very clean.

this was a lovely place to stay I would highly recommend we stayed here for 6 nights it was right in the heart of Riomaggiore,with lovely places to eat at your door step. ATM and grocery store just across the street the room was very spacious with a good sized bathroom There are a few steep steps up to your rooms , but we didnt find them a problem We would love to come stay here again

The owner was absolutely amazing and so helpful! The city was beautiful! The only caveat was the extremely steep stairs of the property. We climbed 3 flights with heavy luggage. The property owner was gracious and helped us! The bed and pillows weren’t comfortable so we cut our trip to Cinque Terre short. The townspeople weren’t friendly at all. We didn't feel welcomed. Again the owner was amazing.

Thanks for your review and for stay with us. The other guests never complained about the bed in this room. After your report, we checked the bed and decided to change the mattress and the new mattress has already been placed in the room.

I had a chance to experience two different town’s hotels of similar categories. One in Monterosso and Riomaggiore. This Hotel in the historic town of Riomaggiore is by far the “Best”. First of all, if you are looking for a hotel with Ocean view, this isn’t for you and you will be paying a lot more and is in very limited supply. This Hotel has many many things that other hotels don’t have: in addition to the beautiful conditions of the room, it has air conditioning, fridge, coffee, tea and kettle, TV, towel warmer. Within a few steps you are surrounded with many shops and restaurants: convenient stores, deep fried seafood takeout, sit in restaurants of many verities clothing stores, gelatos, hardware, pharmacy. Most importantly it is just around the corner of the Ocean and Train station. But you won’t hear the noises. Note: the prices of the above are probably cheapest compared Finally

A great place...worth the climb.
Place is incredible. A note of caution...we had to climb approximately 4 flights of stairs to get to apartment. After luggage...it was fine, just should be aware of potentially high intensity prior to booking or talk to them directly about a lower room if needed.
