Furchtbar! Das Zimmer hatte nichts mit den präsentierten Bildern zu tun und befindet sich auch nicht in dem angezeigten Gebäude, sondern in einem kleinen alten Verschlag neben dem eigentlichen Gebäude. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, so dass gerade mal das Bett hineingepasst hat und das Bad roch einfach alt und stinkig. An der Wand hing ein Fernseher, welcher nicht funktionierte.

Nach so vielen sehr positiven Bewertungen hören wir von Ihnen, einem sehr unzufriedenen Gast. Um der Reihe nach zu antworten: Wir haben Studio-Apartments, etwa 20 m² groß, wie das, das Sie gebucht haben. Dann haben wir größere Apartments, Standard-Apartments und Apartments mit einem Schlafzimmer. Die Bilder auf Expedia sind wahr und korrekt. Jedes hat eine Beschreibung und sagt Ihnen, welchen Wohnungstyp Sie sehen. Das Bild der von Ihnen gemieteten Wohnung entspricht genau der Wohnung selbst.Das heiße Wasser in Reykjavik kommt aus tiefen Bohrlöchern und riecht manchmal nach Schwefel. Andererseits verbrennen wir weder Kohle noch Öl, um Wasser zu erhitzen.Der Fernseher verfügt über 76 Satellitenkanäle und wird mit ausführlichen Anweisungen geliefert. Es funktioniert ganz gut.Wir haben auch eine 24-Stunden-Telefonnummer, unter der Sie Hilfe und Informationen erhalten und schnell auf jedes Problem reagieren können.Sie haben uns während Ihres Aufenthalts nicht angerufen. Nicht um den Fernseher oder irgendetwas anderes. Wir hätten gerne geholfen

Die Lage ist gut. Man ist in ein paar Minuten in der Stadt. Das Haus ist nur für Taubstumme geeignet. Es ist sehr hellhörig. Man bekommt vom Nachbar alles mit. Nichts für uns.

Unterkunft o.k. - Nacht An- und Abreise problemati
Die Unterkunft, d.h. das Apartment ist absolut o.k. - sehr zentral und trotzdem sehr ruhig - empfehlenswert! Die Nacht An- und Abreise ist problematisch, nicht hinsichtlich der Unterkunft sondern allgemein. Zwei überflüssige "Übernachtungen", das sollte man vor der Flugbuchung überlegen!

Tolles Apartment mit Self-Check-In
Tolles Apartment mit Self-Check-In. Alles lief sehr unproblematisch ab und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Wahl der Wohnung. Super zentrale Lage und ein reibungsloser Check-In Prozess. Am Besten hat mir gefallen, dass man 30 min nach dem Check-in von der Vermieterin noch einmal angerufen wurde, um sicherzustellen, dass alles zur Zufriedenheit lief. Sehr sauberes und modernes Apartment - Ich komme wieder!

Gute Lage
Unser Apartement (Nr. 50) war im "Halbuntergeschoss".. ein wenig dunkel.. allerdings wieder von Vorteil in der Nacht, weil man das Zimmer nicht sooo gut verdunkel konnte (da es im Sommer nicht dunkel wird nachts). Sonst alles tiptop. Vor allem super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Gemütliche Betten, gut ausgestattetes App.
Ausstattung und Lage des App. gefielen uns sehr gut, man ist sehr schnell zu Fuß am Hafen, im Zentrum oder am Busbahnhof. Die Ausstattung war sehr gut, sogar ein Bügeleisen war vorhanden. Kaffee, Tee, Zucker und Kaffeeweißer in Portionspäckchen wurden täglich nachgefüllt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht, Wünsche zu erfüllen. Einzig der Lärm der startenden Flugzeuge des nahen Inlandsflughafen direkt in der Stadt war ein Wermutstropfen, er betrifft allerdings viele Häuser in Reykjavik.

Perfekt für Selbstversorger
Wir waren für zwei Nächte in den Embassy Luxury Aparamtents untergebracht. Die Lage ist sehr zentral und super für Nachtschwärmer. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet (Herd, Spülmaschine, Wasserkocher, ...). Einzig die Matratze hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Für alle Selbstversorger sind diese Apartments auf alle Fälle zu empfehlen.

Kein Luxus
Der Name führt in die Irre, die Appts. haben einen für Island normalen, durchaus preiswerten Standard. Der Zugang (einziger Kontakt über einen mürrischen Menschen am Telefon) gestaltete sich an einem Pfingstsonntag als Hürdenlauf. Lage meines Appts. im Hof war enttäuschend. Sonst guter Durchschnitt, ich würde aber nicht länger als eine Nacht buchen.

This was a lovely place to stay. It was clean. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. P3 parking just a block away. There's a little church in front of it and we always knew where we were staying when we could locate the church. The only problem we had was we couldn't access the television. The remote was broken and glued together. After 3 days they finally replaced it. In all a very pleasant stay in a central location. Would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was clean and had plenty of room for two people. We found the location very good since we walked from the bus terminal and also walked around town a lot. We were concerned about luggage storage, but it was available. There is a phone for local calls and in case anything is needed from the property manager.

This place was great for my husband and I. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location is excellent! There's 3 bus stops right around the corner along with restaurants and shopping. Short walk to the city center and grocery store. The pond across the street is lovely too. Lots of ducks and swans The only issue I had was with the keypad for the apartment. Every time I would type the code in it wouldn't work half the time and it even locked us out of the apartment and set off an alarm.But it reset itself after a couple of minutes. I was not able to get ahold of anyone with the number because I couldn't make a call on my cellphone. There are phones in the rooms but since I couldn't get into the room it didn’t do us any good. I would recommend key cards instead if a pin. Overall it was a great stay. I especially loved the heated floor and towel rack in the bathroom.

If you start entering the code before acivating the keypad, it only reiceives 4 numbers instead of 4We have a 24 hour phone service and there is a courtesy phone in the main foyerI am sorry your cellphone was not workingYou can buy an Icelandic sim card for your phone at the airport which makes life much easier

Ultra practical option with everything you might need, except the shampoo and soap were like water. 9/10 overall for the price compared to what else is available. The place is cozy and spacious for 1 person. 2 people would comfortably fit and even stay for a longer duration due to the practicality of the property. The location is prime. 8 min drive to Grotta Lighthouse (northen lights viewing), and a vast majority of Reykjavik's top attractions within a 15 min walk.

Vi boede virkelig centralt, men blev meget overraskede over at komme til en kælder lejlighed, hvor vi ingen udsigt havde. Et vindue var blændet af og det andet vindue som var et højt kældervindue havde kun udsigt til en mur. Der var en meget indelukket lugt, men pænt og rent. For os betyder det meget at kunne kigge ud, så vi bor ikke her igen.

Hi. Castle House is next door to the National Gallery of Iceland and directly behind the Free Church which stands on the embankment of the Tjörnin, the City Lake. It is the perfect placement in Reykajvik but a view of the lake and city hall is only available from the top floor balconies. Our ground floor apartment, where you stayed, has a large window. Your view form the window is mosty the church next door. If you walk a few steps towards the lake the view is perfect.

Excellent stay
Stayed in apartment 62 of Castle House Luxury Apartments. The code given in the email was for the reception building, and it’s not a key they leave, it’s a key code. I didn’t know this, so I called their number provided and I was supported to enter the apartment very quickly. Apartment is of good size. Kitchenette is small, but as expected and very pleased to see a decent sized fridge. To save money, we cooked a few meals, and we had everything we needed utensil wise. Shower was lovely, room was lovely and warm, if anything, I had to turn the radiator down despite it being freezing temperatures outside. Bed was comfy and got a full night sleep each night. Apartment was spotless and so centrally located, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. I will be recommending this accommodation to friends and family who plan to visit Iceland in the future.

Close to everything
This was perfect for a few nights. The small kitchen was much more furnished than I imagined, so making meals to save a little money was easy! Everything was close and walkable. Parking was easy, but the city meter system is a little confusing. The only issue we had, was we did not receive the email we should have that would’ve given us the code to get in. However, the woman we spoke to on the phone was very helpful and got us in quickly!

I'm sorry to hear that your experience wasn't perfect due to the room being in a half basement. Staying in a basement-level room can have its advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side, these rooms are often cooler and quieter, which can be preferable for some guests. However, they may also lack natural light and views, which can be less appealing.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Castle Luxury Apts. The apartment had everything we needed and was extremely clean. We were able to cook a few simple meals in the kitchen which had everything we needed to prepare a meal, serve it and clean our dishes with a small dish washer. The bed was very comfy and the living area was comfortable to sit and watch tv after a long day. The location is fantastic and close to all the local attractions, the harbor, main shopping area, a large grocery store, tons of coffee shops and restaurants. It’s not on a Main Street which keeps this apt area very quiet yet close to everything. Parking was very easy and an ON charging station was a atoms throw away. The staff was very helpful and communicated with me via email in a timely and friendly manner. Easy check in and I loved being able to use a code to enter the apt and not carry a key around. I’d definitely stay again.

What more could you want?
Perfect location, right outside the pond with the main bus stop for airport & excursions. The host gave us all the information we needed before & during the stay. Property was spotless, had all the facilities needed & we felt very safe/secure. I would definitely recommend Castle House Apartments to anyone wanting to stay close to the centre & if we returned we would stay here again.

GREAT location! All the main sites were a short 1/2 mile walk. I would definitely stay here again!

It’s in the heart of town and easily accessible to amenities as well as tour pickup point. However to note that there’s no lift and be prepared to haul ur luggages if u are assigned rooms on the 2nd or 3rd level.

There are 2 other levels with outside steps to the main floor and indoor steps to the 2nd floor. This is not a large building and there is no 3rd floorThere is no elevator but guests have not had any difficulty reaching their apartments

NO CODE, BIG Problem
We NEVER received a code to allow access to the lobby to get our keys. NO info from Hotels.com or the hotel showed how to get into the lobby to get the keys. Had to borrow a phone from a stranger to get in touch with the hotel. Unacceptable. Once inside, all went well, but the hassle of getting the keys was unacceptable. BE SURE YOU HAVE A PHONE THAT WORKS IN ICELAND.

We sent you complete information at the time of booking and again 3 days before arrival to the email address you used on Hotels.com, including the code for the front door.Perhaps you misspelled your email address when you booked ? Or the email is in your spam folder ?
