Overall, the accommodation was excellent value for money. The features that disappointed us were the size of the en suite and the narrowness of the stairs to the upper deck. But, being a converted paddle steamer, there is probably little that can be done about these.

Fabulous
Our second stay on the Princess, love it. Fabulous location in the centre of tow, and close to all facilities. The boat is such a magnificent part of our river history.

We enjoyed the unique accommodation. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. TV was massive. Bathroom was good except for toilet paper issue with flushing. We loved waking up on the river it was beautiful and peaceful. Staff/owner who checked us in could have been friendlier, didn't really talk to us at all. It was all about taking the money, giving us the key and pointing where to go. Perhaps they could offer to help with luggage as its a bit dicey with the narrow ladder going down to the lower deck. Had a great sleep.

Lovely boat accommodation on the water but in great need of repair. They did not have an alcohol license despite advertising happy hour and long wine lists in their restaurant. So both bars were closed. The food in the restaurant was of poor quality, however the staff were very obliging.

Very peaceful and calming overnight stay
Only an overnight stay but a great experience. Room was large, clean, comfortable and very peaceful. I had a river-side cabin and the view from the deck was just amazing. Loved the pelicans floating by. Tea and coffee provided, as well as a hairdryer. I slept incredibly well. I would definitely recommend staying on the Murray River Queen, and hopefully will be passing through that way again for a longer stay.

Lovely spacious room. I thought I must have been upgraded from a standard room but it was a standard room. Friendly, helpful staff. Enjoyable dinner, quick attentive service. Unique experience staying on a riverboat overnight.

Great location
Lovely location. Bed was very comfortable, but did take up a lot of room so a bit squeezy to get in to it at the sides. Shower a bit cramped and low ceiling, you wouldn’t want to be 6ft tall! Could have done with a desk as I was working, but probably not enough room for it.

The staff were friendly and most helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfy and the atmosphere was wonderful. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a stay that is different than the standard accommodation. Beautiful views right on the waterfront.

Something a bit quirky and different. We had a lovely stay on the Murray River Queen as we travelled through Renmark. We looked out at the river and enjoyed the serenity. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The ceiling height might limit some very tall people as my 183cm height was getting close to the ceiling especially in the bathroom and shower. Overall, great. Experience and highly recommended.

Definitely Value for Money
I was in town for one night, arriving late, leaving early. Comfy, Cosy room fine for a short stay, staff were great, the Thai Restaurant on board was quality.

The location and the boat was really nice. Service and cleanliness were good too.There were only a few details that could have been better but we could deal with anyway. The bathrooms are really small which is not unexpected as it is in a paddle steamer but my husband and I are tall and neither of us could stand up in the bathroom. We managed fine but it doesn't make for a very relaxing shower!! Also the towels are small, again not a biggie but it is nice to be able to wrap yourself in a nice big towel. Something that is easily remedied. The other thing that I would have liked was to lie in bed looking at the beautiful views but as the full sized windows are also entry points with a walkway right outside its not really possible. Also if you are bothered by noise, the stairway was outside our door and could be quite noisy at times as people went up and down. I did wonder why they hadn't also been covered as some of the other stairways had been. All in all my husband and I had a lovely, relaxing 2 night stay here and we would recommend it to others. The wildlife right outside the window is amazing and we managed to time it right to do a cruise on the PS Industry up the river. Such a beautiful spot.There are lots of food options within walking distance and more if you want to walk a bit or drive. We were really happy with our weekend away

Unique staying on an historic boat. Room was well laid out and nicely presented. Bathroom was not of the same standard with peeling paint on roof and the bathroom door was only half height - not great when someone used the toilet. Beautiful experience having drinks on the back deck while the sun set. We really enjoyed this stay.

Lovely place & facilities. Very noisy unfortunately. You can hear Staff & everyone walking around, doors opening & closing from as early as 6:30am. You can also hear everyone above in cabins conversations till late. Not a very restful stay. The river view made up for the inconveniences though.

An excellent place to stay in the middle of Renmark. The bed was very comfortable and to wake up and have a coffee outside your cabin watching the sun rise over the river was beautiful. The restaurant and the cellar door on the boat was also very convenient.

Disappointing
I guess our expectations were too high, given that this accommodation is on board a very old paddle steamer. Our room was old and tired, with no features above expectations and several below par. We had a rather heavy blanket on our bed, with no other bedding options. Even with the air conditioning on the lowest setting, we had a hot and restless night. There was a light immediately outside our door, which attracted huge amounts of bugs. We had to spray the area with flyspray every time we wanted to enter/exit our room, to have at least some change of having a bug-free night. We used the rating system of this website as the basis for our decision to stay here. I can't understand how it rates so highly. On a plus, the ambiance and scenery was nice.
