Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer sind Komfortabel und sind von der Größe her in Ordnung und waren sauber. Familien mit Kindern fühlen sich hier sehr wohl. Stonehenge ist in einer Autostunde zu erreichen, das Legoland Windsor in 40 min. Essen kann man im Restaurant gut und zu einem gleichen Preisverhältnis als umliegende Pubs.

Ruhige Lage trotz Autobahnnähe
Typisch englisches Hotel einer internationalen Hotelkette mit gutem Service und kleinen Mängeln (undichte Decken, eindringendes Regenwasser wird auf dem Flur in Eimern aufgenommen, die Badezimmerarmaturen sind nicht nach deutschem Maßstab geputzt, abgewetzte Teppiche). Freundlicher, lockerer Service überall. Das Fitness-Studioi ist relativ gut ausgestattet einschließlich großem Pool. Ruhige, verkehrsgünstige Lage trotz Autobahnnähe und mit einem großen "LIDL" Shop gegenüber.

Very friendly stuff in a good but a bit aged hotel
Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Aufenthalt war überaus angenehm. Die Zimmer sind sauber und großzügig. Leider ist das Mobiliar teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Alles in allem ein empfehlenswert für eine Geschäfsreise

Gut eingerichtetes Hotel, gut zu erreichen
Ich war nur eine Nacht dort, aber das Zimmer hat mir gut gefallen. Ein bisschen unangenehm war, dass die Wände sehr dünn waren und man die Gruppe aus dem Nebenzimmer etwas zu laut hören konnte. Sonst sehr schön, guter Service.

Praktische Unterkunft für Tag vor Abflug
Wir waren mit unseren zwei Kindern für eine Nacht (vor dem Rückflug) in einem Familienzimmer. Das Zimmer und das Bad wie auch der Pool waren sauber. Das Essen im angegliederten Restaurant war gut und reichlich. Das Hotel liegt sehr praktisch für eine Übernachtung am Tag vor dem Flug ab London-Heathrow und die Rückgabe eines Mietfahrzeugs.

A not expensive hotel but not at the best level either
The price and service of the hotel is quite ok (breakfast could be a little cheaper, though), but I'm quite disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom, where we could find several stains of mould, especially around the bath. Additionally, it was quite noisy, with very thin walls, so that I could barely sleep until quite late in the night, when people finally decided to go sleep. All in all, it is an alternative if you can't find a place somewhere else, but there's better places not far from these one. A plus for the hotel is their swimming pool, with jacuzi and sauna, which were quite nice, although somewhat small for the size of the hotel.

Holiday Inn Reading South - ein empfehlenswertes Hotel, wenn man nahe London Urlaub machen will
Das Holiday Inn Reading South ist ein nettes Hotel, welches allerdings etwas schwierig zu finden ist, da es etwas außerhalb von Reading liegt. Zum Zeitpunkt unserer Reise war die Anreise noch durch eine Baustelle erschwert. Die Zimmer sind im Allgemeinen gut ausgestattet und man kann auch mit mehr als 2 Erwachsenen in einem Zimmer leben. Wir waren zu dritt und hatten überhaupt keine Platzprobleme, da uns vier Betten zur Verfügung standen. Eins davon konnte man auch als Sofa nutzen. Das Badezimmer verfügt über eine Badewanne mit Duschvorhang, sodass man sie auch als Dusche nutzen konnte. Es ist recht klein, aber man kann sich trotzdem gut darin bewegen. Zum Frühstück sollte man wissen, dass es eben typisch englisch ist. Also mit Spiegel-/Rüherei, baked beans, gegrillten Würstchen oder Speck. Man kann allerdings auch Marmelade essen und auch süße Brötchen werden angeboten. Was ich ein bisschen vermisst habe, war ganz normaler Aufschnitt, wie er hier in Deutschland üblich ist. Also ein paar Scheiben Wurst und Käse. Die Auswahl war recht dürftig. Das Holiday-Inn verfügt auch über einen kleinen Fitnessbereich, wo sich allerlei Geräte wieder finden und außerdem ein kleines Schwimmbad mit Whirlpool. Alles in Allem ist das Holiday Inn in Reading aber ein nettes Hotel, das ich auch gerne weiter empfehle.

Would just like to say staff were amazing but when we arrived at hotel we did not have the room we asked for witch i think was not acceptable as i booked the hotel well in advance due to the stay also asked for more pillows for the room and did not get them not good again and on checkout they could not even find my name in the computer as again not good also you had children running around the restaurant in the morning when breakfast was on and there could have been a serious accident with hot teas and coffee due to you having to get your own from the machine thankyou mrs brooker.

Friendly staff, comfortable room, lovely breakfast choices, convenient to the freeway, and easy parking. The only two negatives: needs new carpeting throughout, looks old and dated with lots of stains; heating in the rooms can be overbearing and difficult to cool down...despite turning down the thermostat, it would turn back on again after a certain period of time...not good for a woman who is going through hot flushes! lol Overall a fabulous stay, highly recommend and would stay again.

Room was lil stinky, on arrival we were told the payment is not done, but we had paid thru Hotels.com, Breakfast was not great, regular stuff like croissants or hasbrown were missing Overall even after paying heavy tariff it was disappointing

Comfortable and spacious.
Staff member was absolutely wonderful and made check in simple and swift. Room was nice and spacious with comfortable beds. Only issue was the room being too hot throughout the night even when thermostat was turned down. It automatically increased in temp, which was a little uncomfortable.
