"The hotel has several strong points: wonderful, helpful and friendly staff, beautiful territory, and decent rooms. However, the rooms show visible signs of wear and appear not to have been renovated for some time. The condition of the finishes falls short of what I would expect from Rixos.
The food and drinks were also below the brand’s usual standards. I was particularly disappointed with the quality of the drinks. We stayed until October 15, and although this may have been the low season, the selection of dishes in the restaurant was limited. For comparison, Rixos Abu Dhabi offers considerably better food and drinks, in line with Rixos standards.
The worst aspect, however, was being required to leave the sea swimming area in the evening simply because the lifeguards’ shift had ended. This was my first experience of a hotel of this class offering no alternative arrangement to allow guests to continue enjoying the sea during one of the most beautiful times of the day. It felt like a school camp, and it was disgraceful for a hotel of this standard.
The excellent staff and beautiful grounds deserve praise, but the overall experience did not live up to the Rixos name."
