Erholsame Tage
Die Villa war sehr sauber und praktisch eingerichtet. Der Pool super. Wir waren 6 Erwachsene und hatten das so auch gebucht. Leider musste die 6.Person auf einer eher Campingliege übernachten. Das wurde so nicht kommuniziert. Alles in Allem hatten wir einen schönen Aufenthalt und können die Villa empfehlen.

Das Haus, der Poolbereich und die Lage waren trotz einiger Baustellen in der Nähe schön. Auch die Kommunikation mit dem Verwalter hat gut geklappt. Alles war sehr sauber und die Ausstattung OK. Den Blick über das nette Marina di Ragusa bis zum Meer haben wir genossen. Nur was tut man dem schönen Sizilien an: marode Straßen, Müll überall verstreut, Bauruinen! Sehr, sehr schade!

We had a nice stay
We can recommend the house - it is comfortable, clean and furnished in a practical way. Check-in and the support of Carmelo were very efficient. The outside area around the pool is nice. What again surprised us in Italy is the rubbish ypu find all along the streets. This is even more surprising since the waste collection system works rather well. A pity how nature is treated, but this has nothing to do with the house.

Hier bleibt nicht viel zu sagen, außer das das Objekt genau der Beschreibung entspricht. Super sauber, die Aussicht ist ein Traum und trotz der ruhigen Lage ist man mit dem Auto schnell im Zentrum von Marina di Ragusa. Wir haben wunderschöne 14 Tage hier verbracht! 5 Sterne!

Entspannter Sommerurlaub
Ein tolles Ferienhaus in einer schönen Gegend für einen Sommerurlaub in Familie. Nach dem unkomplizierten Checkin genossen wir 14 Tage das Haus, die interessante Gegend, den schönen Pool, die tollen Sandstrände, das nahe und warme Meer usw. Bei allen Fragen und Problemen wurde uns umgehend geholfen. So stellen wir uns entspannten Urlaub vor. Kleine Empfehlung an den Vermieter: Der Kauf von Stühlen für den Außentisch wäre sinnvoll, dann muss man die Innenstühle nicht rein- und rausräumen. Auf Grund des super Wetters, mussten wir nur einmal räumen.

The perfect location or better a dream comes true...
This house is one of the best houses we have rented so far. When we arrived everything was much nicer then shown on the pictures and perfectly organized. The service of the manager was perfect. The house is very clean, well organized, equiped with everything and the seaview plus the amazing pool guarantees a perfect vacation. We arrived totally stressed and we went away fully relaxed with plenty of new energy. We highly recomand this property and the service of the guest manager.

Amazing villa with the best view you'll ever see!
This villa is absolutely amazing. There is so much space and basically everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We loved the pool, the garden, the outside showers, but also all the rooms were really nice and spacious, with a private bathroom for each of the bedrooms. The infinity pool is a lot bigger than the pictures on the website suggest and the view is simply breath-taking. You can see the sea, the city and the sunset in the evenings. There are many seating options, when it got too hot in the sun during noon we simply put the sunbeds under the olive trees in the beautiful garden, which had a really nice atmosphere. The villa was very clean, well refurbished, we had everything we needed, including a few drinks and snacks upon arrival. Carmelo greeted us personally when we arrived. He was incredibly friendly, showed us around and we could text him anytime if we had any questions or needed some advice. Thank you again! We had a rental car, which we would definitely recommend as the villa is on a hill and the road to the villa is quite steep and bumpy so we didn't really want to go anywhere by foot. The drive to the beach, to the supermarket (a big Eurospar) or to the weekly market in Marina di Ragusa was about 5 mins. The drive from the airport in Catania was about 1,5-2 hours. All in all we can whole-heartedly recommend this villa and also Marina di Ragusa as a place for a relaxing stay in Sicily. We would love to come back!

Traumhafte Aussicht, toller Pool, schicke Villa.
Wir (3 Paare) haben Mitte Juni eine Woche in der Villa Castellana verbracht. Der Blick von Terrasse und Pool auf Marina de Ragusa und das Meer ist wirklich einzigartig, der Infinity Pool mit Sitzbank und Sprudeldrüsen sehr schön und auch groß genug zum Schwimmen. Die Villa selbst ist gut ausgestattet und modern und man kann hier einen tollen Urlaub verbringen. Der Ort ist in ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar, bis zum Strand sind es ca. 30 Minuten. Marina di Ragusa bietet Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und einen schönen Strand. Leider hatten wir ein paar Tage Pech mit dem Wetter und es regnete immer wieder. Hier hätten wir uns zusätzliche Stühle gewünscht. Da fuer Esstisch innen und Terrassentisch nur 1x 6 Stühle vorhanden waren, mussten wir oft umräumen. Schlimm war das jedoch nicht. Die Schlafzimmer sind modern und haben schicke Bäder. Man sollte allerdings wissen, dass das mittlere, kleine Schlafzimmer eigentlich ein Einzelzimmer ist und erst mit einem Zustellbett zum Doppelzimmer wird. Das geht, ist aber nicht ganz ideal. Herr Scafe stand uns jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zu Verfügung. Wir wurden herzlich und sehr kompetent betreut. Dafuer herzlichen Dank. Wir können die Villa Castellana nur weiterempfehlen.

Top-Haus, Top-Blick, Top-Vermieter
Haus liegt oberhalb des Ortes Marina di Ragusa; sehr schick, alles neu, Pool zwar klein, aber für ein paar Bahnen reicht es... Küche fast vollständig ausgestattet (kleine Teller fehlen) mit Gasherd, separatem Ofen, zu jedem der drei Schlafzimmer eigenes, ausreichend großes Duschbad, Blick sensationell, wir haben die, sicher saisonbedingte, Ruhe sehr genossen; wer zum Fernsehgucken nach Sizilien fährt, ist hier aber fehl am Platz...;-) Abgesehen davon, dass es kein deutsches oder englischsprachiges Programm gibt, ist die Empfangsqualität sehr bescheiden, die TV's (im Wohnzimmer und zwei Schlafzimmer) blieben aus; aber sehr gutes und schnelles Internet verfügbar und seit 1.4.18 kann man mit seinen Streamingdiensten (Netflix, Skygo etc.) auch im Ausland gucken... Klimaanlage funktioniert warm und kalt einwandfrei; sehr netter Verwalter vor Ort, Kontakt über Whatsapp schnell und problemlos die Nachbarhäuser sind Ferienhäuser, die von den Eigentümern lediglich im Sommer und ab und an an den Wochenenden genutzt werden; der Supermarkt (sehr großer Eurospar) ist in 5 Minuten erreichbar; in den Ort kann man laufen, Dauer ca. 15 Minuten, mit dem Auto viel schneller; unweit, ca. 7 Minuten zu Fuss, TOP-Pizzeria, im Ort selbst unterschiedlichste Restaurants vor jeden Geschmack und Geldbeutel was dabei Von uns eine absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen wieder

Traumhafte Lage
Wir waren 2 Wochen Ende Oktober 2017 da. Die Villa und der Blick von dort sind wunderschön. Die Lage ist auch ideal, da Restaurants, der Strand und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und auch die Betreuung durch den Manager war sehr freundlich und perfekt! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wir wurden sehr schön empfangen.Sehr netter Manager. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Besonders die Sicherheit und die technischen Inhalte stechen heraus, und wurden von uns sehr positiv empfunden. Die Lage ist exponiert schön , aber auch ein wenig weit weg. Das Haus war sehr sauber. Es gefiel uns sehr. Es Ist alles da. Fehler sucht man vergebens. Und wenn sind es Luxusprobleme , der Pool war etwas zu kalt, der Sonnenschirm war nicht so stabil für die Lage, beim Sat-Programm haben wir kein German-Programm gefunden. Aber wie gesagt, es sind hergesuchte Probleme. Das Haus hat seinen Preis, aber es wird vom Service bis zum Objekt viel geboten. Und die Gastgeber waren bei uns sehr kulant und flexibel.

Schönes Ferienhaus mit Meerblick
Das Ferienhaus liegt in einer Ferienhaussiedlung. Von der Terrasse und vom Pool aus genießt man den Meerblick. Allerdings erfordert ein Fußweg bis zum Strand bzw. bis zur Promenade schon einiges an Energie, da die Straßen sehr steil sind. Bei Ankunft stellten wir einige Kleinigkeiten fest, die in der Küche fehlten, allerdings kurzfristig vom Vermieter zur Verfügung gestellt wurden. Wir hatten das Glück, dass die beiden Häuser rechts und links vom Grundstück nicht bewohnt waren, insofern war es während unseres Aufenthaltes sehr ruhig. Alles in allem hat uns das Haus gut gefallen - lediglich die Sitzgelegenheiten könnten bequemer sein. Hier wäre es vielleicht sinnvoll, Auflagen für die Stühle zur Verfügung zu stellen. Außerdem sind die Betten kleiner als der deutsche Standard. Da uns die Insel an sich nicht so gut gefallen hat, vergeben wir allerdings nur 3 Sterne für unseren Aufenthalt.

We had wonderful time in a beautiful modern villa with a great location for touring the south east of Sicily. Our host Carmelo provided all the information we needed to plan day trips and made many good restaurant recommendations. Too bad we were here's in February and could not take advantage of the beautiful infinity pool. But we did barbecue some fresh fish we would purchase in the port of Donnalucata. All in all great place to stay

Disappointed by surrounding building sites.
Amazing villa, really light and spacious with all the amenities provided. The pool is the best pool we have ever had, clean with stunning views in the main. The pool pictures are a little cleverly taken and don’t reveal the rest of the view. The villa has a new addition of a wrap around sun terrace which provides great shade. The sunsets in the evening are spectacular. Before I provide details on the local amenities, I think it’s fair to point out that there is quite a lot of construction work taking place. Next door are in the middle of renovating their villa, we had angle grinding taking place Monday to Saturday, on and off throughout the day. Most days it’s was bearable as it would run for a few minutes, stop for 20mins to an hour then start up again. We did have one day where it was too much and we had to get out to the beach. Below in the valley which is very close is a brand new building site, again not awful, but combined with next door and other digging work taking place it took the edge of the holiday a little after paying so much money. The area is not the prettiest, but the villa makes up for this. It’s situated on a very steep and unpaved road. You can walk to one the pizza restaurant down the hill that takes 15mins to get to, highly recommended on a Sunday, all the seating is outside under beautiful trees and there are lights hanging down everywhere. Great food. The main marina is lovely and at night comes alive with lots of hustle and bustle. Summary- I would have given it 4 out of 5, however the construction was a real shame and whilst we didn’t let it spoil the holiday, some days it took the edge off of being able to relax and enjoy our break. It’s obviously it’s been there for a while and felt a little disappointed that we were not informed.

Great villa
We had a great holiday in this villa. We found it to be clean and modern with comfy beds, excellent showers, good storage, good WiFi and air conditioning and generally well equipped. The pool was perfect for our family and the kids enjoyed the jacuzzi corner. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the terrace and made regular use of the BBQ. The terrace could do with having a fixed cover as there were days when it was a bit blustery for the parasol but I’m being very picky with this comment. It was a great location for exploring the towns of Ragusa, Modica and Scicli. We also ventured up to Taormina and did a day trip on Mount Etna (which although a 2 hour drive was the highlight of the holiday). The walk down to the marina was a bit too steep for the youngest and oldest in our group so having a hire car to do the shopping/exploring is recommended. Excellent communication with Guiseppe before and after booking and great to have Carmelo on hand when at the villa. All in all one of the best villas we have stayed in.

Lovely house close to Marina di Ragusa
We stayed 2 weeks in July, the weather was just perfect, not too hot and always sunny. The view of the marina is great, from the terrace and the pool. There is a barbecue (a bit small but fine as the food in Sicily is great and generally cheap, son not need too much of it) The house is modern, completely refurbished recently, very comfortable. Only one thing i would change is the parasole that looks a.bit tired and is not ideal as may be too windy sometimes. I would put a different system like a fixed gazebo or pergola. Otherwise all perfect, including reactivity to fix any minor issue and kindness of Carmelo, Thank you!

We all thoroughly enjoyed the spacious, modern and well equipped villa, beautiful views and relaxing infinity pool. The villa gets the sun all day, great bbq area fir cooking and eating outdoors. The owner Giuseppe was extremely helpful and always available. Views are great but a bit far to walk to the marina, definitely need a car.

Perfect Sicilian Retreat
We had a great holiday at Villa Castellana. The villa itself had everything we needed, with great views, pool and accommodation. Giuseppe was on hand if we had any questions about the place or the local area. It's a little walk into town or to the local supermarket down a fairly steep hill so I'd recommend a car. The villa was a great base for seeing the SE of Sicily, with a short drive to beautiful towns of Ragusa and Modica, or the many beaches and wineries nearby. We really enjoyed the place and this area of Sicily - we are looking forward to returning soon.

It's the sort of place you wished was yours
Had a great time with the family and I would return to this little bit of Italian heaven big island to see all of it you'd need months but Marina di Ragusa is a very hospitalble and welcoming place, our hosts were on call if we needed them and the villa almost felt brand new, very modern feel to it and I loved the electric gate and privacy. The Villa is a great place very safe no problems with security or the neighborhood. There are quite a few holiday homes in the area, most seem to be privately owned and well maintained, as is this villa, I would only make one recommendation, and it's not a bad thing just a preference, BBQ should always be charcoal. Apart from that one thing the rest of the Villa was great I almost was tempted to make them an offer they could not refuse, lol. Wifi was good the sound system was OK just couldn't operate it personally, outdoor showers were my favorite and the Air-conditioning system took a little time to get a grip with but when did it was like living in a refrigerator if that's what you wanted, it's a modern system and works when all the doors and windows are shut, we tended to use it mostly when cooking and a little during the hot Sicilian nights. Must be 100% in my top 10 holidays and I'm not going to list all of them but Hawaii is my number one and the villa in Bodrum Turkey was just as impressive but still my number ten, as a first generation British-Italian, born and breed Britalian. But Italy has my heart and will always win, Sicily being part of that, I would return any day. Airport run with a decent satnav will take you around 1 hour and 30 minutes, the bus service is good but your better off getting a car, I needed a 9 seater minibus with the family I have. Perfect villa near the marina
The villa is amazing. The pool is perfect and has a small jacuzzi area. The kids loved playing in it. The house is clean has comfortable beds and is fully equipped. As mentioned there is a 10-15minute walk from the villa to the marina along roads without paths but the roads were well lit and the traffic slowed obviously used to that stretch of road. The Eurospar is at at the bottom of a hill so a car when self catering is more appropriate. Take the road from the approach from Ragusa to the villa as its narrow when approaching up the hill. Overall the villa was perfect for our family

Brilliant villa
We had a wonderful time and the villa provided the ideal base for us. Close to the marina and other amenities, but we recommend having a hire car for your stay as the hill is quite steep to get to the villa. All in all a lovely place to stay and the the manager, Carmelo, was extremely helpful!

Good villa with needed pool.
The villa was clean and modern. It was the right size for our family group of 5. The pool was perfect for our needs and was needed when outside with the heat of Jul/Aug. Outside furniture was good. Carmelo our contact was friendly and welcoming. Only one thing needed another sofa, as only one sofa for 3 people.

Great place for families!
We were two families (4 adults and 4 kids age 5-8) renting this house for 1 week in July. The house was really great and we got great service from the agency. We had some problems with the electricity when running air conditions and using a lot of power at the same time, but usually we could fix this ourselves. One time we needed help, and got someone to the house within 20 min. It was hot, but with a nice breeze around the pool, it didn't get too warm staying around the house. There was a great supermarket 4 min away with a car and the small town by the sea had some good restaurants and nice beach. I can really recommend this house!

Comfortable stay for 3 generation family of 7.
Modern, comfortably airconditioned and well equipped house. Good housekeeping and gardening service. Shabby access road. Long and steep walk to shops, restaurants and beach, i.e. car necessary. Parking space for 2 vehicles inside locked gate. The pool with max depth of 1,4 m. was perfect playground for our grandchildren (6 and 8).
