Wonderful country stay

We loved staying at this lovely well appointed apartment. The location was perfect to tour around the area to Warkworth, Stirling and Brighton. The trail on the property was nice and we enjoyed watching the chickens and many birds at the feeders. A very relaxing stay!

Great property and location, Laura and family were very helpful and generous with both the stay and providing us anything extra we needed. Very friendly throughout the stay and our daughter loved collecting eggs from their chicken coop and playing with their pets.We would definitely stay here again.

Great escape

We spent teo nights here as we were in tge area ti visit family. Its a lovely property and a nicely appointed apartment. Hosts were friendly and accomodating. We were able to buy their farm fresh eggs to share with family.

Beautiful Country Setting

The rental was just perfect for what we needed. Beautiful surroundings, Laura was an awesome host and it was quiet and tranquil and a really nice place to stay. Loved seeing the chickens and all of the birds coming to the feeders. 10/10 for sure!!

Nice country stay

Cute open concept, comfortable bed, great hiking trail, great water pressure, private entrance. We did find the room quite cold, however there was a space heater which warmed up the room quite well. Wifi/internet did fade out both nights we were there, however we werenā€™t necessarily there to watch TV. Family does live above, so you do hear them walking around , otherwise it was great.

Charming Homestead Stay

Absolutely wonderful experience! The hosts are exceptional folks, and the surrounding area is rural and beautiful. I definitely recommend this getaway, and would stay again. You will enjoy the chickens and garden right outside your door and a beautiful walking path full of wildflowers (in season.) I was traveling for work, but this was such a refreshing place to rest.

Lovely studio for nature lover

The apartment is located in a small village and is ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers. It has direct access to a 1.5-kilometer trail. Everything was very clean and well maintained. Laura and Dan are very good hosts. Thanks again for the honey just extracted!

Newly renovated suite on a beautiful rural lot

I was very happy staying here, the apartment was nicely renovated with a comfortable bed. The door faces a wide open field and there is some wildlife on the property that adds to the atmosphere. The hosts are friendly and helpful.

Peaceful Retreat

Laura was incredibly kind, communicative and accommodating! My partner, our dog and I had a lovely peaceful getaway from the city. The location is quiet and the apartment is perfect for a couple. The products from their homestead are delicious, so be sure to ask what's in season. I would highly recommend this property and host to anyone.

Great home base for Trenton visit

Incredible gem

We stayed at the homestead for the July long weekend. The hosts are gracious, kind, and very welcoming. They have a small farm with bees and chickens which were really fun to see and visit. Theyā€™ve got farm fresh goodies to buy - be sure to look at the price list on the fridge. Thereā€™s also Kiwi, the homestead dog who is really friendly and sociable - and was the highlight for our pup! The unit itself is very clean, spacious and comfortable. Youā€™ll be sure to get great sleep! We had a great time hanging out at the property itself. The place comes with everything weā€™d need and extras - such as a microwave, amazing coffee and tea! The hosts also provide lots of information pamphlets on local attractions in PEC and surrounding towns. PEC is about a 30 min drive through picturesque country side which made the trip even more enjoyable! It is great value for money and one of the best places we stayed at. Thank you both again for having us and our puppy. We canā€™t wait to be back!

Enjoyable visit!

This lovely spot was like a breath of fresh air, providing a welcome break for me and my small dog. Everything was as I had hoped, clean, well-set-up and welcoming. I hadnā€™t brought any dishes with me, so I would suggest that 1or2 place settings would add to the comfort of the day. This didnā€™t spoil my five star assessment of this VRBO!
