Heruntergekommen und wenig Komfort
Das Zimmer hätte nicht an 3 Erwachsene Personen verbucht werden sollen. Das "Zusatzbett" war ein normales Sofa und somit nur leicht weniger hart als wenn ich auf dem Boden übernachtet hätte. Generell wirkte das Zimmer und die Anlage heruntergekommen. Wir waren froh, dass wir nur für 1 Nacht dort waren.

The hotel is situated in a very beautiful location and access is not too difficult. We enjoyed the pool due to its pretty setting and lots of shade. The proximity to the Marina Pez Vela is practical. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Overall it was a quiet and enjoyable atmosphere. On the short walk to the Marina we saw parrots and monkeys. The main downside was the room itself - it was rather worn-out, not very clean, and contained many steps everywhere. The steep staircase felt unsecure for the kids to climb alone. We had problems with hot water, gas stove and AC devices (though staff tried to help as best as they could). TV set was excellent but internet not very strong. Overall i would award 3.5 out of 5, perhaps a bit more if you do not have kids and thus can spend less time in the rooms and can better enjoy the outside food options. I will also say that "normal" hotels in the area charge similar prices just for a simple room.

Thanks for choosing us fore your vacation . All the issues mentioned as we brought to your attention was simply because you did not know how to use them and had nothing to do with malfuncion . Once we showed you how to use everything there were no further issues . I am surprised you even brought this up in a review. But all in all it looked like your family enjoyed themselves .

In die Jahre gekommene Unterkunft in Top-Lage
Die Unterkunft liegt in bester Lage ca 500 m von dem Ort Quepos entferntauf einem Hügel. Einige Zimmer verfügen über Meerblick. Die Anlage ist eigentlich sehr schön, mitten im Grünen mit Pool und schönem Frühstücksbereich. Leider ist die Anlage ein wenig vernachlässigt. Sobald man die erste Etage verlässt, ist sie nicht wirklich gepflegt, was sehr schade ist. Der kanadische Eigentümer ist sehr freundlich und bemüht, seinen Gästen gerecht zu werden. Von ihm bekommt man auch viele Tipps für Ausflüge in der Gegend. Samstags findet ein Markt statt, den man besuchen sollte, wenn mann ein Zimmer mit Kochmöglichkeit hat: die Preise sind deutlich günstiger als in den Supermärkten Costa Ricas. Insgesamt habe ich den Preis als zu teuer empfunden; außerdem entsprechen die Bilder auf der Homepage in keiner Weise der Realität.

Das Hotel liegt super. Eine schöne Aussicht vom Zimmer aus. Wir hatten die beiden Zimmer verbunden über eine Terasse mit kleiner Bar. Toll. Der Weg zum Hotel ist etwas versteckt und steil, aber gut machbar. Sehr nettes Personal.

Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt
Das Hotel ist schön an den Berg gebaut. Toll ist dass esnicht zu groß ist. So kann man den Regenwald hautnah erleben. Das Frühstück ist super. Für Deutsche auch sehr praktisch, dass eine Mitarbeiterin an der Rezeption deutsch ist . Sie hilft auch gerne bei der Tourenplanunh. Kurzum: Kein luxusressort, aber eine schöne unterkunft mit Stil zu einem guten Preis.

Las Cascadas has amazing virws of the mountains behind it. We saw birds and monkeys and even deer during our stay. The marina is very conveniently located just down the hill. This hotel is on a mountain, so there are a lot of hills and stairs. If you don't mind a hike, this hotel is definitely for you. All the staff were friendly and willing to help however they could. If you have not rented a vehicle, i suggest contacting them to arrange transportation from the airport in Quepos

This property consists of a collection of very unique villas all sprinkled across the hillside. Our “honeymoon “ villa (no. 10) was arguably the nicest - it was perched at the top of the hillside and had a huge private porch to view the surrounding mountains. When we first checked in (the reception desk is also the main bar!) and hiked up to the room we were greeted by a pair of scarlet macaws that nested in plain view. They were intermittently around all three days of our stay. Shortly afterwards a band of monkeys came swinging through and actually came right onto the porch. But, be aware that the trek up to some of these cabanas are quite strenuous. It’s worth the effort, but you’ll definitely work for it.

We were hoping for an authentic Costa Rican experience and Las Cascadas delivered exactly what we were looking for. There's a lot of lush tropical scenery all around the property. My favorite part of our stay was watching the wildlife playing in the treetops around the resort and the staff. They're the kindest people we've ever met and always went above and beyond in accomdating any requests. Thank you to everyone at Las Cascadas for a beautiful getaway.

I loved that the property was clean and convenient and secluded and quiet. I have only a couple of comments: reflective paint on steps need to be redone and more visible. You could add a couple of chairs in the shaded area in the parking / pick up/drop off area.

The place is beautiful. It was very clean as well. The staff was great, we had some good conversations with them. The only issue we had was when we booked it was for to separate beds. But the second bed was a pull out couch that was horribly uncomfortable, also the main bed was not comfortable

Could not recommend this hotel enough. I stayed for 5 nights in August of 2023 while I explored the area in and around Quepos. This hotel and its staff was always a joy to come back to after a long day out. The rooms and common areas are modern and kept very clean. The hotel has great views and a lot of wildlife can be seen in the area around the hotel (scarlet macaws, capuchin monkeys, frogs, etc.) The staff is the best part of this hotel. From the time I checked in until the time I checked out they were always hospitable and went above and beyond. Carolina and Mau were always helpful and great company to talk with while having a cocktail. The chef also prepared the yellowfin tuna I caught on a charter one day for me and it was delicious and plated amazingly. Bottom line: this is a gem of a hotel and you should stay here if you’re visiting Quepos/Manuel Antonio. Pura Vida Mae!

Buen hotel, linda alberca, habitaciones equipadas.
El hotel es muy lindo y las habitaciones cómodas y la cocina bien equipada. El personal es súper amable y dispuesto. Está bien ubicado, todo está cerca si tienes carro. Lo único que no me pareció tan bien son los precios de comidas y bebidas, en general Costa Rica es caro y ésta no es la excepción.

We feel so lucky that our family of 4 found this place to stay in. From the friendly and honest service, to the cleanliness of the room (you can smell eucalyptus as soon as you walk in), to the date and attention to detail around the property, this place is a must!!!! We ordered pizza and drinks from our WhatsApp chat and it was delivered right to our cabana - yes, a private cabana right outside our room! The owner was a kindest man who helped us with honest advice and the concierge Mauri was gentle and friendly too. Our kids fell in love with the two resort dogs and couldn’t wait to see them every night. The property is stunning with so much to do and the best part - all the macaws and monkeys sitting in the trees right at the property. I can’t wait to go back! What a score!

The house was great! Very close to Manuel Antonio beach and the marina. We visited during the rainy season so they weren’t fully staffed but everyone there was awesome. We had a great stay. There were 6 of us and the house had plenty of room for everyone. They also have a laundry service which was awesome. Would definitely stay there again.

Pros: This property provides a definite "tropical paradise" vibe. Elevated location gives great sunset/ocean views, waterfall/pool area is absolutely lovely. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast options and dining area were very nice. Despite the cons below, I was very happy with the hotel. Cons: I personally found the location a little tough, even though others praised it. It was close to Quepos, but a little too steep to consider walking, and the road in was short, but narrow and steep. Heads up on the bed...it was clearly listed as a "double" but we incorrectly equated that to a "queen" bed. OUR fault, but just be aware that's truly a double size bed only. Our room, the Nest Suite, had interesting "tree-style" decor. But with the small size, I wish that space had been available for walking around inside a little easier. The main window had shade curtains, but those curtains didn't cover the upper portion of the window, so it was difficult to maximize sleep with the light coming in at sunrise.

Loved it! Hotel is great! Saw monkeys and Macaws. Marina is close for fishing. Manuel Antonio National Park is close and and a must see... pay for the guide... they know where the sloths and other animals are. You'll miss most if not with a guide or you will be cheating off groups with a guide. Also the guides take pics with your phone through their mono scope

Such a memorable stay! The staff were absolutely incredible - brothers Dylan and Brandon were so attentive, polite and helpful - they did everything possible to make our trip relaxing and comfortable!! The hotel itself is very well situated, close to downtown and only a 10 minute drive from Manual Antonio (with all Taxis knowing exactly where to go). The property is surrounded by nature, and has so much character - you truly feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest. The room was comfy and private, and boasted great views. So happy to have found this gem and hope many more people get to experience the outstanding hospitality and value!
