Verbesserungswürdig: Ausstattung und Zustand der Unterkunft
This is a youth hostel. NOT a hotel.
The photos made it look nice. It isn't, particularly.
It was a holiday weekend (...to be avoided if possible) and everything was expensive in Queenstown, which is probably why i booked a private room here (which unfortunately did not have a private bathroom).
Room 30 was on the second floor, and was overheated and there was no fan to use. No fly screens on windows so sandflies can get in.
The noise of the plumbing was extremely loud and pretty relentless. I could hear the guy next door urinate loudly, as if he was next to me, peeing into a tin can.
The room was opposite the 2 toilets, and the 4 showers of which only 2 were working.
The cost of this private room was over $200 NZ dollars. No tea or coffee. No bathroom. No peace and quiet. No climate control. No lift from the ground floor. Banging doors. Banging pipes. Road noise.
If it was cheaper, I wouldn't have had any expectations, but it looks like a nice hotel room on the website and it isn't.
Thankfully I won't ever stay there again. Or any of their other offerings.
"Flash"packer, it is not.
Cannot recommend.
