Location and view from property were great (about 3 miles to “downtown” area). Follow directions and photos from host to find place or you won’t! Good kitchen amenities with induction stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and all cooking necessities. Hot water in kitchen sink is beyond scalding so beware! Dryer did not work right. Parking is tight but accommodates 1 medium size vehicle. Road leading to property is rough but our Citroen made it but not paved all the way. A/C is a mini-split in bedroom and efficiently cools room. Overall, property is comfortable but needs some much needed general upkeep & maintenance (some of the windows, dryer, Pool is not heated and more of a soaking pool and needs some resurfacing on bottom & the plants cut way back as view is blocked of Moorea mountains from pool. Host responded quickly to all questions.

Awesome views high up of the ocean and Moorea. The birds and the thick forest make for peaceful solitude. I can’t remember if the listing pointed out that there is AC only in the bedroom so be prepared for that if you are sensitive to heat and humidity. The house has an open floor plan otherwise, including an entire wall of sliding glass doors that make the patio feel like part of the house. It’s amazing! We pretty much just lived on the patio except for when the afternoon sun(the patio faces west ) was shining in.The kitchen is adequate, a nice king size bed and I really liked the bathroom set-up. Also who can resist a private pool?! I think there was a reviewer on here who said he was tricked by the listing and he only gave it one star but disregard him. Sure the doorway table is wobbly but who cares? Sure the oscillating fan is missing its cover. No big deal. It still works. I think the only downsides were that the wi-fi isn’t very strong. The other drawback is the road up to the house. It’s crazy steep, windy and in some sections very rough so be ready and the parking can be tight. The directions the owners give you are essential and really helped although the gas station is named Pacific not Polynesia. I would 100% stay here again. Felt like a private mini resort away from the noise and crowds of Papeete.

Check in was an easy process! The property owners are delightful and were able to answer all questions and give great recommendations for food and activities. The views were breathtaking! The bed was comfy. Overall we just had a perfect, relaxing time!

We only stayed 2 of our 7 nights booked.Cleanliness was an issue at this property.The pool was advertised as a top-rated pool, but the pool was not clean and is in need of repairs.The patio furniture cushions were stained and need cleaning. There was animal feces covered in white powder outdoors, dead insects inside/outside and ants on the kitchen counter. The coffee pot and the toaster were too dirty to be used. Household and soap supplies were limited. The website pictures did not accurately reflect the furnishings. The safe was unusable as it was locked. The directions were accurate but the road up the mountain to the home is in total disrepair.The property views/sunsets are as advertised and were absolutely beautiful.

We were looking for a place to relax after several months of travel, and found just that. We basically stayed put and enjoyed the calm and incredible sunsets from the terrace. It's a steep bumpy drive down to the coast, but there's (food) shopping right there, and an excellent bakery. The beach at PK18 is around the corner, and it's not far into Papeete, either if needed. We had a wonderful time, even if there was the occasional thunderstorm.

The condition and appearance of the property were not like it was pictured on the VRBO listing. It was misrepresented and we got catfished. the host had all the current images of the property before we booked it and knowingly chose not to update them.

Amazing View

We stayed for over 3 weeks and never tired of the view. The drive up the mountain was long and bumpy but worth it. The house is clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Little hard to find as our google maps wasnt working and adress and road signs are not common in Tahiti it seemed The house is amazing! The owners were so polite and helpfull. The views were spectacular. No need to watch the big screen TV as we spent alot of our time on the front deck overlooking Moorea Island and the Ocean. The pool was just big enough and refreshing for what we needed.We would definitely stay again. Much thanks!

Modern Stay among the locals with GORGEOUS VIEW

Just WOW! This hidden gem is up in the mountain in the middle of local residences and it offers THE BEST view to wake up to and a GORGEOUS Sunset. It's PERFECT for 2 people... or maybe even a small family of 4. (Or maybe 4 Adults if they have a good relationship to share a bathroom). The place has great ventilation, and the A/C in the master Bedroom is nice to have for the hotter times during the day. The unit is clean and spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom and the shower are big. The bedding is comfortable. The owner is very easy to reach and responds quickly, whether you have questions about the rental property or general questions like where to go eat for a special occasion or where to go buy something that you forgot at home. We had dinner at 2 of the places she recommended and they were both AMAZING. And her instructions to the property were OUTSTANDING. The washer and dryer are a GREAT asset, as we traveled for 17 days total throughout the islands, so we were able to pack in a smart way, knowing that we would be able to wash. We would stay here again if we ever had the chance to go back... and we would recommend it to others. THANK YOU for the opportunity to stay here!

What a view! Tough drive up.

The view of Moorea is truly spectacular from the back porch. The small house is clean with a nice modern kitchen and a small refreshing pool. Three geckos and some bugs quickly got in after we arrived, apparently through some gaps in the windows or sliding doors. The chirping geckos were annoying mostly to my wife. There also some other issues: the safe didn't work, the sheet on the bed didn't fit properly and there was a strange noise every 15-30 minutes that sounded like someone tapping a microphone. The two biggest negative issues were: finding the house and the rough steep road up to the property. First of all her directions were hard to understand and didn't translate well from French to English. Google map link in VRBO was close but wrong. Another problem was as you near the house, she describes a Y and you should take the right fork. Unfortunately, there really are three road options and if you take the far right road you end up on an extremely steep and frightening road with NO turn arounds. DO NOT TAKE THE FAR RIGHT OPTION! Take the middle prong, or the right prong of the left split. For sure, do not try to find it at night. If you use Google Maps use the following: Tahiti Moetama Cosy Lodge, Puna'auia, French Polynesia. Finally, the check in material said we would do a self check in, but the owners had some one waiting on us. We were running late and we did not notify anyone since we didn't think it was necessary. I could not find anything in my emails about it

Great view in a well-designed space with basic amenities

This home has a stunning view at a great price. The interior photos are unfortunately no longer accurate. The couch is not as inviting and is very basic. The home has great features such as retractable doors onto the terrace and a nice kitchen. But cooking and dining supplies as in many rental properties are mismatched or non-existent. Since we enjoy having a kitchen for the purpose of cooking, that is a disappointment. Finding it initially was difficult because of mislabeled directions but we were not at all put off by the steep climb. It was worth it for the dramatic cliff top position and privacy, which for the price can’t be beaten. On the upside the WiFi was great and the TV worked flawlessly. The pool was very nice. We enjoyed our stay overall and simply hope the owners will make some very modest investments so the total experience matches the view.
