Comme vous vous en doutez, nous vivons dans une région hors des sentiers battus. C'est une aventure. Beaucoup de vos plaintes concernent le cadre naturel de cette région. Ce n'est pas pour tout le monde. Si vous avez besoin de routes pavées et d'un paysage soigné, je ne pense pas que la péninsule d'Osa soit faite pour vous. As you guess we live in an area that is off the beaten path. It is an adventure. Many of your complaints are infact about the natural setting of this area. It is not for everyone. If you need paved roads and manicured landscape I do not think the Osa Peninsula is for you.

I am glad you enjoyed Iguana Lodge in spite of the ants. It is not normal to have ants in the room but occasionally they decide to take the jungle march. They are gone now and the room is ant free. Thanks for your understanding and patience. You really did not have to stay in that room, We love yoga at Iguana Lodge and so glad that you enjoyed.

Thank you for your response. We are sorry for your disappoint, but your comments are surprise to us. We recall your visit and checking in with you daily. For the 2 nights of your stay, not once did you mention the issues you raised or photographed. If you had asked about the guano on the outdoor deck we would tell you it was from bats roosting at night. Bats are the most diverse animal here and no matter what we do we can not always convince them where to roost. The mess is cleaned up every morning. If you had raised the issues about the two light bulbs being out we would have fixed them. We do review lights regularly but the salty humidity can make them finicky; even after we check them they may go out. If you had asked about the handsoap we would explain that our 100% organic soap is not watered downed but actually intended in the form, designed for marketing but to be effective. We are at a loss about your comment about the other soaps being missing. We did checked. The 100% organic Papaya Tangerine Body Wash, Ylang Ylang Shampoo and Banana Hair Conditioner were in the bathroom. It is a shame you did not bring it to our attention at the time. There is ventilation in all the bathrooms. We are not really sure what you are referring too. No warm water on your last day.. We have never had a complaint about not having warm water, there were 4 other rooms occupied at the time. The jacuzzi is working fine, if you were having a problem operating it, you only had to ask, we would have been happy to help you. Yoga is available. You actually asked about this and we told you we could provide it at a cost. You choose not to do it. Most Iguana Lodge guests,’ in their comments, would not agree that Iguana Lodge “seriously overcommits and underdelivers” . We realize how important your vacation is. We are sorry it was not what you expected.

I am not sure about what the blocked lavatory is referring to. We have great maintenance and fix issue rather quickly. I highly recommend people check our web site out to see who we are so you know what to expect. I also suggest reading the other reviews that do not agree with this assessment.

Thanks for the review. For all those reading this, we do not have A/C but we do have great ceiling and floor fans. For most people this works really well. Thanks for staying with us and we hope to see you again!
