Schönes altehrwürdiges Hotel
Ein sehr schönes Hotel altes Hotel.Es müsste jedoch an einigen Stellen renoviert werden. Eine super Gym mit super Geräten. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen, denn das Prei-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Preis zu hoch für die Leistung
Wegen meines Fluges bin ich sehr früh angereist, so gegen 11 Uhr. Musste drei Stunden warten bis ich ins Zimmer konnte. War im Alltbau untergebracht, das Zimmer war sehr dunkel, da kaum Tageslicht herein kam. Alt ist schön, aber gepflegt sollte es sein. Beim 2. Gang zum Frühstücksbuffet, welches ok war, wurde mein Gedeck bereits abgeräumt. Für mich ist das kein 4-Sterne Hotel. Der Preis ist für die Leistung zu hoch.

Perfektes Hotel für Gäste mit Anspruch auf Sauberkeit, Service und gute Ausstattung. Für England Top Niveau! Teilweise besser als manche 5 Sterne Hotels in London. Via Auto ganz einfach über die Autobahn in kürze zu erreichen. Parkplatz ist kostenlos.

My first visit. Just an overnight stopover but very pleasant. Ample parking but a little troublesome as I am disabled. Even those dedicated spaces are not as close as I would have expected, for a hotel of this magnitude. Not appreciating how far the car was parked from reception, this necessitated the negotiation of an uphill trundle, and I walk with a crutch. Thankfully, the kind lady at reception assisted me with my case on my return to the car when I checked out. Keeping to my budget, I chose not to dine in the evening or take breakfast. However, the menus were extensive and looked very appetising. There were recreational facilities available but I had insufficient time to explore. The allocated bedroom was adequately sized with a very comfortable bed, desk and occasional chair. Large screen tv and free wi-fi. Bathroom was spacious and had a bath with an overhead shower. Beverage facilities, iron/board, hairdryer were available in the room. Room service was available as were laundry services. An enjoyable overnight stay.

Service & location good - gym getting refurbished
The room hadn't been cleaned very well as my 3 yr old kept on finding red feathers from a previous guest's feather boa under the beds. The gym was getting refurbished when we stayed at the hotel. Unfortunately we were only informed of this 24 hours before. As active people we were disappointed as the alternative equipment was sparse and in a very hot room overlooked by the reception area - not a great experience. We did complain about this and received a small discount on a breakfast one morning. The breakfast was pretty good with lots of choice. The pool area was good although we hadn't seen that under 5's couldn't swim until 9am so we had a very disappointed toddler at 7am. Thankfully we could entertain him with the discounted breakfast. Service was good at the reception and at beeakfast. We only used the evening bar to get some milk for the toddler, which the staff happily provided which was very appreciated. The location is good, right near the motorway and just outside of Preston along a leafy road. Parking was easy but understandably busy on the weekend.

Staff were all very friendly. Family room was great. Swimming pool was very good. Excellent quality breakfast and choice. Bar area was large with two free shuffle board tables in an adjoining room. We stayed two nights. Lovely quiet location but close to the M55 and ten minute drive into Blackpool.

Great pit stop for families
Really friendly welcome each time (we stayed here on our way from Edinburgh to London and on the way back again as a pit stop for one night!) We have two young boys (4 and 8) and the staff are always really friendly to them and their slightly wild antics. Rooms are comfortable and have everything we need. We always use the pool and it’s clean, can be busy but not much the hotel can do about that. Didn’t eat dinner but breakfast has a good selection and very limited single use products. We’ve stayed here 5 times now which is best review I can give!

One of our family members booked direct and was told they would receive the best rate but paid £75 more for the same room during the same dates - staff couldn't have been less helpful or interested on check in and there was apparently no manager in from Friday till Monday. Make sure you check the additional charges are accurate on check out. If you have young children and plan on going swimming check the rules and adult to child ratio required. We stayed for 3 nights and there was no housekeeping during our stay. The pub/restaurant at the end of the road was really nice. Overall the stay was ok - I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back. There was a girl on reception that had recently started who was pleasant and helpful as were the staff in the bar/restaurant.

Great hotel to visit.
We visit every year with our grandchildren and was very surprised and pleased with the refurbishment going on , the fitting of new carpets and workmen painting did not detract from a wonderful stay. The breakfast is second to none and fabulous leisure facilities are the best.

Beautiful Hotel
We had an overnight stay to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, we got married at this hotel 22 years ago. It’s still just as beautiful, the staff are so friendly and the food is amazing!
