Fantastic
The Golden Fleece is a fantastic hotel in a wonderful location. My room was clean and quiet and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to visit the numerous locations of North West Wales.

Very cosy and cute little inn located within an equally cosy village. Friendly staff and clean room. Breakfast was delicious. Parking was a slight issue in the evening as cars had to park in 2 rows, blocking the first people in. Large Tesco 5 min drive away. Would definitely stay again.

Unhappy customer.
Good food was served promptly, but at no time did anyone ask if it was satisfactory or enjoyable. Mould on bathroom ceilings and walls and part of the ceiling was collapsing. Sink wasn’t draining properly. Couldn’t use the shower or bathroom facilities as no towels were provided!

V Good - room, food, beer & staff!
I was in room 17. Clean, recently painted from the looks of it. Rooms are in a separate building just across the road. My room wasn’t big enough for the double bed in it. While there was space to walk around it, the bathroom door could only be opened half way. It would have been a v big issue for someone larger than me. I was solo so didn’t need the big bed. Staff were very welcoming, cheerful & very pleasant, the food I had was very good, hot & flavoursome, the beer obviously well kept. I enjoyed my stay & will stay again - but maybe a single bed in that room!

A very pleasant stay
I stayed at this hotel as part of my 5 day motorcycling break around Wales. The accommodation was in a separate building, which wasn't an issue for me, and the only means of access was to check in at the Golden Fleece Inn first and obtain an access card. The room that I was staying in was clean and had everything that I needed for my stay. The food in the Golden Fleece Inn was well presented and reasonably priced. Would I recommend a stay here? Yes I would. However if you are travelling by Motorbike, as I was I'd recommend and advise that you park your pride and joy in the EV Charging car park at the side of the accommodation building, rather than in the Town Square, for added protection and security.

Just great, cant fault it!
Lovely hotel, nice people, food and drink was great. Having an EV charger is a real bonus, not too far to walk into Porthmadog, peaceful nights sleep and rooms were beautiful.

Great little property - though the rooms are aged. Lots of spiders in the light fixture in the bathroom. No extraction fan so the humidity was unbearable. In the morning, you’d smell sewer gas outside, but that’s not the property’s fault. The staff are lovely and it’s right near the Sherpa’r bus line to take you to Pen-y-Pass for Miners path to Snowdon or transfer to an S1/S2 to get to Llanberis for the “easy” path.

I really liked the stay at the Golden Fleece. Ammodation is on the square by the pub - but you get feel of the town and the layout - which is a great reason to go to Tremadog. Room was clean and well laid out. Pub served good food and nothing was too much trouble. Would go back without hesitation.

The room was rather cramped and the door lock to the bathroom was defective. Otherwise it was very comfortable and the freshly cooked breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful and amenable.

Friendly Inn for a few nights away
A nice friendly run Inn. Food was excellent - great portion sizes although could do with more veg and salad with some meals. Parking is unreserved so you have to find your own space on the roads - saying that we had no issues with this. Room was clean and shower was good.

Lovely room, very well kept. It was tricky carrying my heavy bag up the stairs. Pub & restaurant were outstanding! Wifi worked well too. A little noisy early in the am with traffic
