Die Betten waren nicht so sauber wie erwartet. Aber die Zimmer waren groß und es war nahe zum Flughafen. Der Pool war schön und es gab in der Nähe Restaurants und Bars. Ebenfalls wurde ein Flughafenshuttle angeboten. Beim Einchecken war es sehr geschäftig und das Personal war etwas unfreundlich. Aber alles in allem bin ich zufrieden

There was no toilet paper and only 1 bath towel for 2 guests. I called the Housekeeping 2x and it was like 90 minutes passed but my request did not arrived. I went to the Reception to follow up. My request came and was assisted by a Maintenance staff instead who was very helpful. Overall, my stay was okay. Thank you.

Fit only to be demolished
A terrible place. Run down, demotivated staff trying their best, the worst wi-fi I have ever encountered, watered down spirits and questionable clientele. And it was expensive. My fully equipped apartment had loads of plates, three knives, two spoons and a single glass. Water was hot only in the afternoons and the apartment pool had a viscous feel to it like I imagine those seagulls you see in oil slicks must enjoy. Avoid, Like the plague.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was very good and the access to the internet was very good as well. The rooms are looking a little tired, they are now looking old. The bathrooms are small. Needed more teabags and coffee sachets. No milk, even milk powder for a drink!! Has the appearance of a flash hotel (in its day) but needs a bit of a spruce up now. Especially for the money its costs.

Despite accepting the booking, there was no room available on arrival. Receptionist was not friendly and too slow. Reported the faulty air con but was never attended to.

I spent many good nights over the years whilst living and working in Papua New Guinea and happily dined and stayed overnight in the hotel, however this experience was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, the room was nothing short of atrocious, it was smelly, dirtiest room I have ever stayed in, outdated and I would say the whole hotel requires a massive makeover under its current management structure. Definitely not worth the money paid. The staff were brilliant, I was able to check in with ease and I was able to eat all my meals at the restaurants however when I ordered a soft drink I was told Sorry we do not have stock. Taking everything into consideration I give this place a 2 star rating and that goes to the Staff not the facilities.

It was ok but the water pressure is low and having problem with TV connections which was fixed upon request. Louvre blade was missing[2x]. Otherwise its good for family on weekends getaway.

The Enzo's Pizza and Sizzler Restaurant connected at the front are great. It's very convenient to the airport. There was literally no hot water at all - not even slightly warm. The aircon filters and ducts need to be cleaned and the aircon was very anemic due to this. It took many hours for the room to cool enough for me to stop sweating. Never even needed a sheet coving at night since it just couldn't get cooled down enough.

When checked in the reception advised meals where free but late they charged dinner and breakfast hoping breakfast was free as most hotels have complimentary breakfast.

Air conditioning was poor the bed smelled like it hadnt been changed. There were baby cockroaches in the room. Had to carry my own luggage up 2 flights of stairs to get to the room after having to wait 10 minutes to get checked in. Last time i will choose there to stay.

Extremely disappointed
My second time at Gateway. My first stay was excellent. This time I was thoroughly disappointed. After an extremely long day of travel 12+hrs from an outer island all I wanted was a cup of tea and a rest before going out in the evening. I made my tea and went to find no milk in the fridge. I contacted reception and requested milk then waited close to 30min, still no milk...long story short it took 1 and 1/4 hours, 5 requests and for me to literally stand and wait at reception until someone fetched some milk for me. The milk was then retrieved literally steps away from my room. I couldn’t believe it. Barely any sort of apology either. When you pay good money for a hotel room you expect much better service than this. Extremely disappointed by Gateway Hotel this visit.
